WOW! When i saw that my heart instantly dropped an i got sick to my stomach. I can usually take things like that ok, but that was jus soo messed up. it was def something that ruined my night, but i guess thats nothing compared to what that asshole bank robber ruined. That was the part of the video that got to me the most...I just thought "no...turn out turn out!!!"....the other guy/robber didn't even touch his brakes.... f**ker

That was really sad. This can easily happen to anyone of us. Quite often my 6 year old daughter is in the car with me. The local news in Los Angeles showed the actual impact. It was horrible to watch an innocent person minding their own business needlessly die like that. My heart goes out to the Supra driver, his family and those who knew him.

The police chasing him had nothing to do with this. The guy made a decision, a very terrible decision, and I don't think any amount of cop influence could have changed that.

This guy had a few chances to hit inanimate objects, but decided to target a person as a last "F*ck you!" to the world before he offed himself. You're wrong. You would need two riflemen, one to fire a shot to break the glass and one to actually place a shot on target. Glass has a nasty habit of deflecting bullets in directions you DON'T want them to go once they penetrate. With a rifle this could prove fatal to an innocent bystander VERY easily.

Even then, it would not be reliable, as safety glass is the devil to shatter with a single bullet.

Not to mention having to correct for the target moving at a high rate of speed, elevation differences, windage, etc. You will more than likely NEVER find an ideal shot in an urban environment. There is always something to increase the difficulty. If you do, it will more than likely be for a split second. Your average .308 match round will move out of a 26 inch barrel at roughly 2600 FPS, give or take a few due to personal preference in cartridge loads. You have to take travel time into account as well.

These things are trickier than you think, LSD. Even if your shot impacts the target, you're still in an urban area. You have to watch what's BEHIND your target as well. More than likely that would constitute uninvolved citizens. That rifle bullet will go through a few people with no problems.

I know everyone is screaming for vengeance in this thread, but as Iosef Vissarionovich once said, it is a dish best served cold.

A very good point. Though in an urban environment it would be difficult to take a shot from far enough away for that to matter.
