Okay so i have a 1999 eclipse gs spyder that i bought recently. One morning i started it up and the balance shaft belt completely snapped in half and now i have a massive oil. I was gonna replace the belt then started reading that many people actually drive with it off so if thats true whats could be causing the leak. Fron what i see its leaking from where the belts are.

Battery dead???

That diagram is wrong. The 4G64 has a timing mark on the valve cover that you line the sprocket up with, it's the mark on the cam gear will be at 12 o'clock.
Then thats how it was set i drew a line on the pic of how it was set

You set it with the mark straight up? Did you not notice it ran like crap when you started it? Set the marks right and hope for the best. Do a compression check and leakdown. My guess is you have bent valves. You won't know until you test.
Again cant start the car. I took it around the block to check for leaks. No crank, no start, not even a click.

Checked the fuses under the hood for the alternator fuse 80amp (or 100amp)? It could be blown. It is bolted in with 2 bolts, I think a #10 wrench is what it takes to get them out.

Will do.
It stalled really hard while changing gears when taking it back on and after that well like said before. No crank start or click all the lights and stuff work as normal

I didn't mean start it now. If you set the timing that far off to begin with it would've ran poorly right from the very first crank. If you bent valves bad enough you've locked that motor up. Hence the no crank.

Would also make the car shut off while shifting basically when shifting the lights on the dash would come on and the car would be off until i put it in gear and press on the gas

Found a replacement head my exact motor but in a galant is there anything i need to change in order to swap it. When i tried researching it someone said i would have to replace the cam sensor from the old head and the cam do they mean the cam pulley or...
