i talked to matt from magnus motorsports and he priced me $30,000.00 labour/fab for the build of the CRX
they charge 100$ / hour so its about mouth and a half of work. matt tolled me its a ruff estaminet but it still
scares me that they would have the car that long when the should have it for 2 weeks for the fab/labour work.
2 sub frames and rear trailing arms and front A arms with moded shock mounts and battery box flush mount in the trunk. mount the trans and engine and rear diff, with custom ordered axles and driveshaft, use gsx hubs and custom knuckles and wire it up to ems and dash. done i have tons of parts to buy for it to work and I'm thinking 30,000.00 is too much, and i think he may of made a mistake.

here is the parts list, it has more then what magnus will have to do, they don't do body work or paint and no car audio. i will be using champion motors for body and panit and wild car audio for you know LOL


1G 2.0L 4g63t DSM Crate Engine with HKS 280 Cams,unorthodox racing ULTRA T cam gears, YELLOW TITANIUM NITRIDE super tech valves +1mm, super tech dual valve springs, 9.1 comp magnus/ross pistons, magnus aluminum con-rods, magnus billet crank shaft, Black Cast v3 intake manifold with secondary fuel injectors and rail. T4 PT 6766 2gen turbo ball bearing center, ported comp, polished comp housing, v-band tur out. Ram horn ex manifold, Polished neo cobalt color FLF valve cover with 10AN vents. Wilson Throttle Body 75mm TB, Kiggy a/t kit, unorthodox pulley kit, ATI Super Damper, polished 44mm Tial waste gate, 16AN cooling neck and return, blue Gates timing belt. Balance shaft delete, Mishi Moto thermostat 68C, HKS spark plugs, FLF front engine housing BB oil pump. kiggy 12-Tooth 4g63 Crank Trigger Sensor.

HKS f-con v pro 4.0 and flash editor, mix dial. Custom engine wiring harness

Spark tech Coil on plug and with M&W CDI SEQUENTIAL set up. black coil holder.

Neo cobalt color 3” intercooler piping 2mm aluminum wall, viberant intercooler 33"W x 12"H x 3.5" Thick 3” inlet/outlet, 4” neo cobalt color intake pipe 2mm wall aluminum. Puple HKS pipe cupilers, K&N air filter, ½ rad. 2 over flow cans,3 12” Spal fan, B&M trans and engine oil coolers with fans, Polished Tial BOV 50mm Q


2 Fuel cells 6gal meth and 12 gal 91oct. 2 Fuelab 1000hp in tank pumps, magnus fuel rags. And filters. 2 Auto meter sending units 240-33 OHMS

Built Dsm 2G automatic AWD transmission with front LSD and welded center diff, high stall 9.5” TC, shift box lite tranny controller. 300m t-case with magus bearing cap 950hp. 4 bolt Built EVO 3 LSD maxlock rear a/t gsx gears , custom DSS 300m drive shaft and axles 950hp.


Koni 2812 mk2 struts and custom Eibach springs, custom sub frames and custom upper control arms, CRX 1988 Function7 Engineering lower control arms, custom trailing arms and knuchals, custom A arms, gsx hubs, Ksport 8 piston brakes neoTitanium color calipers f/r 2 sets of front brake kits 356 X 32 rotors.

Why?

I understand the cross platform swap when people who will actually do the work do it because the want to, and can. But to pay all labor out of pocket the amount it will take to get this done, only to have a car you could sell for $8,000 is a bad idea.

It's like paying someone to sleep with your wife, and being proud of the kid.

I like the Colt with a 4G63T and AWD idea. For a little different look, you could go with a Mitsubishi Cyborg swap. It would be a LOT less fabrication. The things I could do with your budget.......................

my AWD mirage coupe is for sale. dont know if you need account to see ad? from experience building one and seeing locals "try" to duplicate the effort, you would be crazy to build something like this from scratch. when you build something like this with so much custom work you have to expect all sorts of unseen problems. if magnus quotes 30k and one month labor , expect 45k and six months without your car. local here spent 45k building AWD A/T civic to "beat" my amazing AWD mirage. after an agonizing 45K and year of teeething problems, his car was no where near close to even challenging the yellow car. he parted it out and got 18k back. my car is a 10 year effort with all the unforseen problems worked through. its an amazingly fast car. and an absolute steel for someone who is serious about owning such a car. it would be much cheaper, faster, less headache to buy my car and make the changes to it to suit your goals. but before you make any changes you might just want to drive car first the way I had it set-up. I assure you it has the most amazing power and response available form an AWD 4g63 platform.

Total waste of money! ! Unless you just have the funds to throw away. Listen to all the guys here man!! 45k you are about only another 10k from buying a nice used early 2k Porsche 911 turbo which will also come awd and have much better value! 30k can also be a down-payment on the new turbocharged civic that's coming out.

Honda does have an old awd wagon you can find perhaps you can find one and take the awd system from that.
 
Sigh. Not this shit again. Either build the Honda motor or stick with a car that already has a 4G63T in it if Magnus' $30k price is too rich for your blood. $30k to plop down all at once for anything, well must be nice. Or your taking a hefty loan out. Fabrication isn't cheap regardless.
 
Man I have about 13 grand in my car and I'm overwhelmed. If I had 30-45k I would smother myself with a pillow.

theres no one resale value in performance cars. You will barely make back what you paid in labor. Had I of known this I would have just waited for someone else's complete project and life would be easier. Everyone has the right to dream and everyone has the right to tell you you're crazy. Do what you want. Don't talk about it be about it.

I already told you from the previous thread that was locked that your bill was going to be like this. If you can't do it yourself, then you are paying a professional for their services.
 
This guy is trolling hard. The mod list is well over $30k by itself and some of the parts he has on there arent even available....
 
I'm not sure why you would want to spend this much money on a honda when you could stick with an oe 4g car for 1/16 of the price that could scream in whatever event you would like.
