Am I the first DSMer to do this?

There's no way I'm the first to do this, so I've got to ask.

I just picked up a 7-bolt 4g63t off my brother and a 1997 Eclipse GST Spyder shell offa some redneck who warned me, "Erry time I fired her up, sound like she got a angry squirrel up in thar just a wailin around." My plan is to drop my brother's engine into the redneck's chassis...after some minor alterations. (Minor alterations - as you might assume - means, of course, an $8000 ground-up rebuild.

My question is this: am i the first one to chronicle the whole process in a blog?

The first few posts are really more for the sake of preserving the memories, but once I launch into the rebuild I plan to create very detailed step-by-step records of how each mod was chosen, where it was acquired and how it was installed. I just bought a new digital camera, so i hope to have some great pictures to accompany them.

I'm aware of a number of great DSM forums, this one included, and vFAQ, but is this the first DSM blog?

We can always use more write-ups. But please know DSM's before you do one. I don't know if you have had a DSM before but they are unlike any other car in the world. Have fun with it.

My brother (who sold me the engine) is a self-proclaimed DSM king. In fact, one of the first things that motivated me to do this build was the opportunity to outdo his. (As any readers will find out - we're kinda competitive.)

This will be my first build and I will be relying heavily upon this community for answers. So far, I've learned a load without ever even asking a question: the archives of this site include most any information one could be looking for.

The first? Probably not, Ive had my own little website I run off my server up for 3 months now, it's not a blog, but its a little section of my site. Keep up the good work.
