[Edit] I'm actually stupid for posting this. Please move on, you'll see nothing but nonsense any further than this. Deleted the cringe for your sake

I don't want to be GIVEN the answer necessarily although I wont argue.
I just want to know what to tell the machine shop so I don't look like a fool LOL.

Thank you in advance for any advice given

Buying 9:1 pistons in accordance with the bore of your block is a good start:)
I might just not understand I suppose. I was under the impression the block had to be bored in conjunction to picking a certain piston size as well as taking rod length and crank into consideration. New to the ins and outs of building motors. My experience on these cars goes as far as to changing a head gasket and oil pump.

If you have lets say stock 150mm rods they will make the pistons slightly different for the compression bump. if using long rods they will use stroker pistons offsetting the wrist pin but also again make the dome different for the compression, that's all based up on the bore size also and will vary depending on specs you supply or have for an OTS piston

so for you on a long rod is it 156mm LR or you going different length? if so you can look at all the pistons that offer LR options and they normally spec what rod length they are used with because those are stroker pistons. some also list crank specs also just as an added bit of checking

After reading a lot more I'm realizing how stupid my initial question sounded. I plan on getting BC I Beam 156mm rods. pistons TBD

if you are wanting I beams then get oliver rods instead. depending on budget of course but looking quick they dont seem far off from price wise.

whats the build for? power, racing or street. also LR means you plan to rev it higher I assume. if so how much more 9k or 10k revs?

Weekend warrior road racing maybe? Don't plan on going to the strip often cause its a loooong drive. Up in the 9k range.

what ever piston you get make sure you get thicker pins then.
