As time allows, I have been in the garage trying to complete a timing belt job. Knowing that reassembly is around the corner and without a helping hand, I decided that it was time I finally built a tool to keep the crankshaft from rotating while torqueing the crankshaft bolt. I kept stumbling around the site looking for dimensions to build my own tool to keep the crankshaft from rotating without any real luck other than general guidelines or "good'nough" dimensions. I was not able to find the answers to my specific questions:
1) What is the crankshaft sprocket bolt pattern? Ans: 40 x 40mm square
2) What is the OD of the crankshaft bolt washer? Ans: 40mm
3) What is the OD of the crankshaft sprocket "lip" around the washer? Ans: Approximately 44mm, but a little undersized at 1.729in [43.9mm]
I finally got to the point that the information, if it can be found anywhere on this site, is not easily enough found. I have the dumb parts, I obviously haven't reinstalled them yet - measure them! So here's the information in a nice, clean drawing for everyone. It is probably overkill for most but certainly a nice to have for those that don't want to spend the time with the tried and true grind-til-it-fits.

). In any case, this thread was to provide the actual, critical dimensions of the crank sprocket, washer, and bolt - nothing more. Like I said, it's probably overkill for most people but since I was in it, might as well go all out!
