Alright I made the switch to SD, changed all necessary setting in ECMLink (as far as I can see from reading and videos). It cranks, but wont really start, when it does it runs for a couple seconds and sputters out. Ran when parked on the MAF.

I'll post a log of cranking if anyone wants to look and see what they can see. I'm trying to learn all this on my own as I don't really have the extra money to have someone do it for me so please no hate. LOL.

FYI even with my issues I target 11.0:1 for full boost(above 11-12lbs-ish), and during spool up I'll go even leaner, and I don't have knock at all. 93 Octane.

"0 psi boost is essentially naturally aspirated WOT, so 12.7-13.2 AFR at that point is typical. You can interpolate from there in either direction."

For explanation: 0 because manifold pressure and barometric pressure are equal due to (practically) no restriction with the butterfly open.
Your cylinders are still acting as a suction device like a syringe, creating a lower pressure zone inside the cylinder and pulling air in faster than if it was left to its own devices. So you might still see slightly negative absolute pressure on a NA at WOT but only right at the valve.

Correct. During spool up you target a leaner ratio and taper it down to target when it hits the target boost. You also have timing dropping during this time. Long time ago i played with very low timing and lean mixtures to spool faster on larger turbo cars and i was able to spool them few hundred rpm faster but the car felt like a dog as the timing was so low it could not make tq. Doing it the way i first said the car feels much better as even though boost comes on slower the motor is making much more tq threw that area. With smaller turbo's they honestly spool so fast it is not to noticeable, but when say a 6466 or larger is used the spool area is noticeably better stronger feeling. Most likely to knock at peak TQ and i have found if it starts knocking it likes to continue to even with timing pulled VS having timing lower at peak tq then ramping it in hard after.

Looks like you are pulling threw peak tq around 10-11 degrees. That is likely a bit to much. Pulling a degree or two there would clean up the knock then after that point ramping it back in i bet it would take it vs continuing to pick up some small knock. The timing up top is ok i do not like going much under 12 as egt's start to get cooking quickly.

🎤 And its been a while...LOL LOL Haven't had much time or nice enough weather to mess with the car. Then when i did try the other day i buggered up my obd2 trying to ground pin 1 to 4 to get into program mode to program a key fob for keyless entry. Ended up not being able to get ecmlink to connect so had to mess with the obd2 plug and got it to connect finally... whew... Not unplugging my ecmlink cable ever again unless it stops connecting again. Aaaaaaanyway, got it going again, made adjustments to target 11.0:1 afr and added more to the basetipin table. Still has that lul in the low end but getting smaller. Here's a couple 3rd gear wot logs to gander. still havent learned about timing enough to mess with it. like i said time has been scarce lately.

Interesting battery voltage jumping around i see. Hair richer then target but nothing some quick math cant fix in the cells. Little bit of knock retard. I won't advise on the timing side as you said you do not feel comfortable messing with it.
 
If you suspect it's real knock, toss a couple gallons of E85 or a single can of VP octanium into 10 gallons of fuel and see if it goes away.

For what it's worth, I plan on using VP Octanium when I need to be on kill. Stuff is great.
 
Also what could help on the tuning process side is getting gas from the same place consistently. Especially if you're getting knock off and on.

I would drive 20-25mins away to one station because they were dispensing good 94. I went to another station (same brand, different location) and it was horseshit.

Yeah there's only one station in town that sells 93 so i go there every time.
 
I bet if you WOT targeted as rich as say 9:1 instead of your 11:1, you could run more timing and boost. More fuel cools the burn. Stock is 9.6 or something and that's fine meaning it won't blow smoke at WOT. If I had to run pump gas again I would target as rich as I possibly could during WOT without blowing smoke out the exhaust pipe and ignore the 'lean it out' jargon.
 
It's been a while LOL. Haven't messed with the tune a whole lot lately but did some logging today. I need to stop BS'ing and get this thing dialed in fully. Been running fine except for the fact that if i drive it, then park it for a lil bit, then come back and start it back up it runs lean af for about 20-30 seconds then catches itself and corrects. No cel so im wondering if its tune related. anyway heres a wot pull from today to gander upon. Doing oil change and putting mt-90 in transmission today also. This car will be used daily for a bit until my daughter gets her own vehicle so i need to get it fully dialed. Almost ready to pay a tuner LOL

Have you checked your off boost fuel trims lately? Are you hovering around 0% Combined FT or do you need to reset fuel trims and go for a cruise so you can make an adjustment with "SD VE adjust CombinedFT"

Looks good - very small moves were suggested using "SD VE adjust CombinedFT". You can move on. What is next?
Lol idk that's why I'm here 🤣🤣🤣 smoothing out the table? Interpolation? I haven't really seen too much info on that. I do still get hits on the tpsdelta so I need to bump up those sections as well. It runs fine except for the start up when it's already warmed up and I'm not sure why that is.

What does it do when you Hot Start it?
 
You could try enabling this if it is not starting when hot.

I think this may have fixed my hot start issue. Went for a drive, stopped for gas, when I started it back up it didn't miss a beat. No lean stumbling 💪😎 thanks for that suggestion

Oct 24, your voltage regulator is not happy, and you were getting knock at 4800rpm

Nov 25th - is better, but you are getting knock later - right as the boost creeps over 20psi at 11deg timing.

Your timing curve looks fine in the plot below - right until it starts to knock.

When you look at the timing table in DA, your edits are clear, but you should fill out the bottom part with smooth transitions. In general, you don't want to put a "dip" in the curve. The cells should be increasing or decreasing in a given direction. Example: in columns 4.5k-6.5k timing values decreases top down to your edits of 10's, and goes back up again.

Regards AFR targets - 11 is too lean for pump gas over 15psi. 10.5 is better. You may be getting to an actual knock limit with your pump gas - You could benefit from some more octane.

You need e85 to pull off the timing I'm running.
