Can all the good people of this forum help me accomplish the same goals with knowledge, understanding, and tuning of the timing, AFR, and VE tables. I had RixRacing remote tune for the initial start up and base tune but I was never able to get with him to finish and do wide open throttle (my car needed an alignment in a major way and now trying to get with him again to finish the tune has proven difficult (requiring me to take time off work and set time aside to finish the tune.

Aside from all that I would like to learn and attempt the adjustments myself with the help of the community. Currently running speed density with hx35 t3 twin scroll, FIC 1250cc high-z injectors and 255 lph fuel pump and all supporting mods. Ricky at Rix pretty much set the car up conservatively as you will see and established global fuel rates to get the car idling and running good on 93 pump gas. Now I am looking to make the adjustments to maximize power output. All advice and input is greatly appreciated.

In 8-9 months I will get a new t4 twin scroll top mount manifold from Morrison Fabrications as well as a new Borg Warner s364sx-r turbo. 450 lph fuel pump currently on the way with upgrading fuel feed line and 2150cc injectors for when the time comes to switch the manifold and the turbo but for now I want to familiarize myself with the ability to make minor adjustments on my own for tune and not have to rely on a tuner. Looking for basic direction on where to start making adjustments.

450 pump cannot overflow the stock fuel line. I've tried.

Your idle sits at a weird spot of shit values on the sd table at idle.

Not enough information via WOT pulls to determine, but the fuel calibration looks off [lean] by 1.5 points.

Timing table needs a good amount of work, but I guess it's in your favor as you sit because the setup is landing you in a place there is virtually none.
 
Yesterday I spent all day playing with and adjusting the idle. I got the ISCposition to about 34 and LrndIdleAdj to 144 with the rpms idling decent at 950rpms but with a bit of fluctuation due to the Kelford 264 cams. Any suggestions for me to improve fuel calibration and VE table improvement?

FIC 1250cc injectors on 255 fuel pump. Rix pretty much just set the most basic base tune just to get the car idling and running on first start up but I was unable to drive it at the time due to the alignment being a severe issue so whatever he did was just the car sitting and idling with no cruise time nor any WOT pulls.

Playing with the boost level without adjusting the ve table or the timing.
Your WOT WB factor is off the charts not calibrated. You're running lean - You can throw in a big global fuel shift to get your ZT2WB closer to AFRatioEst. - WB factor 23.7% at this spot, but its off everywhere. 2 deg timing? thats terribly low. Probably does not feel very fast.

With coolant at 163F, timing at idle varies from 4 to 12 degrees. Fuel trim varies from -6 to -8 percent. Global fuel adjustment is -59.8%. I am not sure what the deadtime is, it doesn't say so however he set it up is outside of my knowledge and on the backend of his tune I guess.

If I were you, I would ignore the base fuel pressure gauge and give the fuel pressure regulator a full turn clockwise.

Reduce the negative number to -40 and see what you get. It's a big move in a safe direction. You want to see 10's in your WOT WB AFR numbers - not 13's (which is way too hot for gasoline - will knocking like crazy with normal timing, and danger hot with e85) At boost, e-85 above 12's will get very hot. 12.5 for e85 at boost is dancing on a danger edge.

I changed to -40.2 and started the car and it would hardly run.
 
Yeah - Look at the deadtimes and combined FT numbers. Change the deadtime while idling until you get a combined FT close to +-0%
I changed the global dead time back to -59.8 and with the car running right now with coolant at 163 the combinedft fluctuates between 1 and 2 percent and stft is 0 to -2

Idle better? Keep the engine warming up until you get to 180-210 coolant temps with the fan cycling on and off. From the ECU menu you can "Reset Fuel Trims" and check the Combined FT again.

-59.8 is not a global deadtime number. Did you change the Global Fuel value back to -59.8?

There are two different controls for fuel. Global Fuel affects WOT most, and Global Deadtime affects Idle most.

Please confirm what you have on the gauge for base fuel pressure - with the vacuum line disconnected from the FPR, engine off - fuel pump on.

Yes you are right i changed the global fuel by mistake. I changed the global fuel back to -59.8. Gauge fuel pressure reads 43.5-44 with car off but fuel pump turned on via ecmlink.

Ok, not bad. You can lower the pressure to 42.5 if you want - a couple psi difference is not the issue.

With the vacuum line attached when running, you should see it drop below that - closer to 38 psi

Ok - 40psi is a little high, how much vacuum does the boost gauge show at idle? , At least the vac line is having an effect.

This is good. you found the right control to tune your idle AFR. Throttle tip in adds fuel, so a rich shift from 14.7 to 12 on tip in is reasonable.
 
Awesome thank you. I still dont know why the afrratioest and wideband show a significant difference in their numbers. The idle around the same but on the gas the are drastically different from one another
 
Go back to the global fuel - if -40 is too rich at first, try -44. Put the Global fuel change in and then try your idle adjustments with global deadtime.

You want a new WOT pull with -44 Global Fuel.
