Resolved 2G IAC o-ring

I just received my IAC and correct o ring from STM but I want to make sure I put the o ring on correctly does the or ring sit on top as show in my picture or do I wrap it around the base it’s sitting on?

You put it in the throttle body not the iac.

More defined, the gasket will sit in the base of the throttle body and make itself known how it sits onto the IAC.

I think it sits on the base tho

Oh okay thanks guys so just put the o ring in the throttle body then tighten down the IAC. I just wanted to make sure I didn’t crack this one

I actually still had an air leak even with the gasket so I put some rtv in there as well.

Yes. Once the o-ring is inside the TB ISC/IAC bore it will sit like you've shown and seal the end of the ISC/IAC base.

It doesn't go between the flange and the TB around the ISC/IAC base. Trying to do that will break the ears off the ISC/IAC when you attempt to bolt it down.
