Decided to show a little build thread for my daily driver. when i bought the car everything leaked, it was smoking everywhere and needed lots of love. i always wanted one of these cars since i was little. i was in the market for an evo for about 6 months or so, i had a budget for about 17K. i could not for the life of me find a clean one. as evo theft started rising in chicago my friends talked me out of it. so i settled for the minievo.

when i first got it, purple stock wheels and a DSM front mount.

pulled the motor out. it has a fully forged bottom end, pistons, built head, valves, springs, retainers, FP manifold, Tial MVS, 16g/20g compressor wheel

got some wheels, work emotion crkai

at my shop MSPtuned

brought her home

then i thought i could be a rally car

in conclusion, these are fantastic cars when done right. i spent money and did not cheap out on it one bit. i beat the shit out of it at 28psi daily. not a single issue anymore. best daily driver i have ever had. its a shame how horrible most of them are, halfassed home depo parking lot builds. worse than 240 owners.

Sick 2g man, love that your not afraid to get it dirty and use the AWD for what it was made for. Keep the picture coming man!

for sure! took me a good 3 or 4 hours with a pressure washer to get it cleanish again hahaha. too much fun tho. i just added a forge performance blow off valve, and put in a prosport peak warn gauge (hesitant, but so far so good). cant wait for the motor mounts and full tune!

we also just finished our fully built 2s gsx auto and a customers fwd with a similar set up to mine

UPDATE:

just a small update. my clutch pedal felt terrible so i bought OEM clutch master and slave cylinder. not messing around with that cheap parts store crap.

then i noticed my driveshaft mounts had A LOT of movement. so i tossed in some torque solution mounts we had at the shop.

next up was an oil change, bought a case of Brad pen. i like bulk!

This update: Avid racing motor mounts. figured i would buy some nice ass mounts ass opposed to some cheap inserts. i love these things, vibrations really are not bad at all.

next up is the final tune, got my Evo 8 wheels with Blizzaks for winter also! then its undercoating to protect the rust free chasis.

Over winter i am going to be powdercoating the Work wheels. Come spring will be bushings, coilover, swaybars. possibly paint it white. tint and shes DONE

mmmmmmm S14....love the S chassis from Nissan, amazing cars. I dunno if I missed it when I was reading through but did you sell it?

Nope s14 is getting rebuilt for Midwest drift union and down the line formula d. I just picked up a rx7 fd to start on as well
