I just bought a 98 GS-T 5 speed (has a 6 speed shift knob) Recently, surprisingly no check engine light, no stupid ebay mods, and it runs well.

My goal is 400whp, I'm a noob at 4g63T, but I have a decent amount of mechanical/automotive knowledge.

My question is, what are the suggested parts to make said numbers at a reasonable cost, I have a job and I have the tools and a friend who has a shop/lift to help me out if need be. I don't want to redo the entire car, I just want to make good power with good reliability. (Yes I know maintenence is first) also, i do have some parts on the way like a clear cam gear cover, 255lph fuel pump, boost controller, boost guage, fuel pressure regulator, new key fob (my car didn't come with a door key) and some other stuff I can't think of right now. sorry for writing a whole ass book LOL.

stock 2g head assembly, stock block with 2g pistons on 1g rods, ecmlink v3 lite or full for tuning, GM flex fuel sensor, 750cc or larger injectors, e85 fuel, vrsf short route front mount intercooler, evo 20g turbo, evo 3 intake manifold, evo 3 exhaust manifold. walbro 255 or walbro 450 fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, and that should cost $1500 if you can find good deals on these parts.

I would do e85 but where I live the closest station that sells it is 60 miles away, so yeah I have to use 93, I have the 255 fuel pump on the way already and fuel pressure regulator as well, but ill keep an eye out for the rest, thanks!

Curious to see what route you ended up taking and if you reached your goal.
