Hello first off I’m brand new to this site and have only had my DSM for a year now. Turns out my 1ga GSX is in worse shape (rust ) than I thought so I’m picking up a rust free 1gb talon and I was wondering if anyone had any tip or pointers in swapping a 1ga front end into a 1gb. How hard was getting the fitment right? Did you start with the fenders them move to the headlights? Just looking for the easiest steps to make this swap happen. I’m also wanting to keep the 1gb rearend, so could I just swap connectors for the tail lights if using a complete 1ga wire harness? Any tips or tricks for anyone that’s done it would kick ass. Thanks in advance

I imagine this shouldn't be too bad, since you already have the 1ga donor car (right?) for all the electrical parts (harness, switch, relay, etc.) and the body parts (hood, fenders, bumper cover)/ headlight mechanisms. Taking both dashes apart seems like a bit of a pain (I've just done this), but not sure you can get around it. Hate to think about swapping the engine compartment harness from one to the other, but should work if you take your time. Hopefully not you daily driver! Take photos and post it for the next swapper.

I have done the 1ga to 1gb swap several times and its not hard all you do is steal some brackets from the 1gb fenders, hoods lights, etc. I don't know if the 1gb has the bolt holes for all the motors of the 1ga, that would be the biggest thing, but honestly I wouldn't, why do you want flip ups?
