1g head 2g valvetrain

Is it possible to put all the 2g valve train in a 1g head?

Yes, the valves, springs, spring pads, retainers, keepers, rockers, lifters and came are all interchangeable.

But why is the question I have to ask.The cams are less aggressive than the 1g manual cams.

But yes they are interchangeable.

I have to replace my head and found a really good deal on a 1g head. it has bent valves tho. I'll see if I can get 1g cams.

Make sure the guides aren't cracked, otherwise you may wind up dumping more money into it than if you had just found another 2g head.

I'll be sure to do that. How much more aggressive are the 1g cams? Is it significant? I know they wouldn't be anything like kelford 272's or anything.

Also you can't just throw the valves in there. You will want to lap the valves in to the seats (if the surfaces are still in decent shape) and set the valve stem height.

You do relize that if you swap a 1g head in place of your 2g head you will need the intake and therm housing and other parts?
