Wow! A simple wideband bung installation with no welding!

I was thinking the thickness would affect the reading, but it dont look to thick. How much is it though? if you dont got a welder it might be cheaper to get it welded somewhere...

I like it. It's cheaper then I paid to get mine welded in.

Then you got raped.

It should cost no more than $20 to weld in the bung and virtually any exhaust shop. If they charge more tell them to go ____ themselves and go somewhere else.

This product is neat.... but it costs twice what a professionally welded bung would cost. Dont forget shipping. Plus, I guarentee you that sooner or later it will leak.

im sure though if you went through as many cars as some poeple do and you want to keep your gauges, the $36 is cheaper than taking your car to a shop every time you need it done. good idea but can be worked around.

If you are not getting error codes for sensor being too hot, you are not exposing it to temps that will shorten its life. This applies to all the good widebands at least. I think the aem will just read innacuratly and cook itself.

I am using one of these on my Evo and it works like a champ! I'm also in one of those situations where all of the exhaust shops local like to rape people on simple things like bungs. All I had to do was drill a hole in my downpipe, put the gasket they provide on, slip the band over the gasket and bolt it down. Nicely designed.

It's reason's like this that my Harbor Freight MIG welder has paid for itself.

Cool idea though.
