hi guys

im currently running an aftermarket BOV wich does NOT recirculate the air , and it makes that ( imo ) awesome sound when i change gears

Now i've just started upgrading my engine alot and i know that i should definetly recirculate the air

Im wondering, will a BOV wich recirculates the air still make that sound when i change gears? It doesnt need to be as loud as the one i have on now , as i assume some of the sound dissapears but can you still hear it?

Theirs a lot of good ones. Greddy, HKS, etc..... But you have to recirculate your BOV unless you do a GM MAF conversion.

GM Maf is not the only option, just one of the more popular ones, don't forget about Ford mafs, and Speed Density just to name a few.

Basically the Air flow sensor needs to be located AFTER the BOV if you're venting to atmosphere.

Evo8 plastic bov with injen intake tube here. I can hear it pop off at full boost (stock boost still) shifts, but i doubt you can hear it outside the car very far.

Which I dont mind at all. The whole loud BoV thing gets tiresome after week 1. I guess people do it to intimidate or like a "hey look at me, i are turbo car!!!" but really, its a freaking sneeze each time you shift. Nothing cooler than a car that sounds like its sneezing.....

I had a greddy type rs vented on my car when i bought it and it was really loud. I just recirculated it and its a different sound and its a lot quiter. It barly makes a noise compared to what it was and i have a hard intake and k&n filter. I'm really gunna miss hearing that awesome sound when i shift and getting on it and shifting right when im passing someone with there window open LOL but i guess i'll just have to get used to it for now. At least my car runs a lot better and thats all that matters.

I currently have a stock 2g bov recirculated with just a k & n filter and its still very loud. Granted the T too small makes more noise than my 16g.

Pointless post is pointless, He wanted information I gave it to him. I run Speed Density, I don't recirculate. Then again I can't even hear my BOV over my exhaust, is that okay with you?

LOL chill it was a joke. I know what the kid asked for. and to each his own i dont see how thats any of my business. I got a loud ass exhaust too but im sure as hell gonna find a way to make my bov even louder.

and it isnt just like a thing ill get over in a week cause my friends all got them at some point and ive never gotten tired of it. It sounds amazing to me and obviously to the thread starter as well.

Not without an adapter.

Here is a picture I found of the 1g on the right, 2g on the left.

Here's a link if you want to put a 1g BOV on a 2g car.

You mean 1G on the left, correct? I have a 1G, and my stock BOV looks nothing like the one on the right.
