why do we keep dsm's

I sold mine because I didn't use it anymore, but it never broke. There was this one time that I launched a jump with it and the electric fan blade worked loose, but I just tightened it and kept on going.

Now I drive this AWD Colt that contains an assload of DSM parts, and it doesn't break either. Maybe you need a new automotive technician to maintain your car.

I sold mine once, but never again. The guy that bought it blew a tire and parked it in a field to sit and rot away for over 2 years. I had too much fun with the car to let it waste away like that so I bought it back and now I'm finishing up the basic maintenance work and will have it back on the road and heading to the paint booth after I order some new tires.

i know the 2G NT (420A) and the 1G NT (4G37) are nothing compared to the 4G63 when talking about out of the box horsepower. i have had both engines, i would know. As for the 4G63, i admit i don't know.

4G63t
Just to clarify, there are 2, 1g n/t engines:
4G37 - 8 valve, SOHC, 1.8L rated at 92 horsepower
4G63 - 16 valve, DOHC, 2.0L rated at 135 horsepower
Then there is the pinnacle of Mitsubishi engines:
4G63t - 16 valve, DOHC, 2.0L turbocharged rated at 195 horsepower

I keep my DSM because theyre in my blood and have been ever since i got my first one. I spend 90% of my day thinking about my DSM. I haven't had had any problems with mine and it has 180k on it. And besides that it's a good hobby.:D

I always wanted a talon when I was a kid. Now, 19 yrs later, I got a last gen awd talon...I dont fit in it like I would 19 yrs ago,, I have to haul kids(carseat) around in it...I ALMOST sold it last week. Backed out,, couldnt do it,,, This is one of my childhood dream cars come to reality.

This is the 2nd TSI awd Talon I've owned, and proud to say that neither has ever left me stranded (knocking on wood of course). Almost every other vehicle I've ever owned has left me calling a tow truck, including my 2007 Honda :(. Even though this Talon is my summer toy, I'd still have full confidence if I had to employ her as a daily driver.

I have had 3 of these cars. After the last headache I swore to myself I would never buy another one. I had some extra money and came across a beautiful GS-T...SOLD:thumb:!!! So far I have put about 700 miles on it, and its ran great for the little less than a month Ive had it. I did, however spring a random oil leak and I proceeded to find the source, get up under the car and find a brand new pair of pliars...I get the biggest grin of my face and state "God I love DSMS:D."

I love DSM's. Mostly 1g's but I think they're all great car's. I'm 22 now and have had my '91 GST since I was about 17. I haven't been able to drive it much due to the fact that the person that had it before me didn't take care of it and I also have made mistakes. The great thing is, I have learned more about these cars than I could ever imagine (Thanks for that goes out to everyone on this site who has given great info and help). And I just bought a 92' Talon AWD about two months ago (6/4 combo. Yay! ).MY GOD! I thought my fwd was quick. The talon is stock and, compared to most other cars, feel's like there's been a good amount of work under the hood. I just love everything about these car's no matter how much it suck's sometimes. Gotta love the DSM smell when the car warms up and you just get in. Ah. :thumb:

I Love my DSMs.:dsm::talon::laser: Its in my Blood what can I say. (Ignore the ricer behind 1Ga GSX. It's my renter).

That is my car! My avatar pic is my current one. My sig and profile car is gone.

I've owned 7 T/E/Ls. Currrently own three. Started with a '92 4g63 n/t back in 1998. I can't get enough of the abuse and reward. All have been to the point at least once where you see grass looking down through the motor. Some completely in pieces.

There are a few around here and some still want a dsm, its taught me so much about everything from turbos, to wiring, engines, and painting. Its a old car so if i mess it up its no big deal, sort a learning platform especially my 1g.

i love mine ive had it for 4 years and only had to do general maintinence sucks as soon as i got it paid off the motor locked up. but its def a sweet ass car to be a 98 ill keep it for awhile

Easy to work on second dsm, dont see a end in sight, obsessed like any other hobby, simply bad ass. I still get stares on the street, others dont know what to expect.

because without it im not happy. Ill never sell my dsm or if a do ill buy another one. my car break alot of times but went i just got it but after do all the maintenance, my car is gold!!! :hellyeah:

I recommend selling something else when you need money instead of your dsm, believe me sooner or later you will regret it. im sure there is alot of things that you can sell instead of your dsm. :shhh:
