I have a Long "Tru-Cool" trans cooler that I picked up. I was attempting to mock it up today and it looks like fitment is going to be a little difficult. My cooler is 11" x 12" and has mounting tabs on either side. I was looking at the stock side-mount location but the cooler either sticks out to far and interferes with the bumper cover or places the in/out fittings toward the ground or straight up into the top of the fender-well. Just wondering if anyone has some pics of how they mounted/routed their cooler that I can check out for reference. Thanks in advance for any helpful replies.

I put mine in the stock intercooler location. I did have the stock one in there, but I took it out and put an E-350 cooler in there and I would say that it is 11''x 12'' or near that. It is a tight fit I just had to trim the bumper some.

Here's how I mounted my IPT 28,000 lb GVW trans cooler That Is the same as yours, 12"x11"x1 & 1/2" thick :hellyeah:... You can see the tiny stock trans cooler below the one I just installed.

Used the existing bolt holes for the stock trans cooler and drilled the mounting brackets out to fix the bolt size then custom bent my mounts to make it fit how i wanted It to :D. I used the stock lower trans mount bracket (the one that extends down) for my lower bracket and used the stock upper hole that's under the headlight for my upper mount

Oh and you'll have to trim your front bumper or it will hit, mount it at a slight angle. I also had to trim the corner of my bumper support to get a little more room to wedge It in. My outlet/inlets are facing down. I have it touching the front bumper support by where I trimmed the corner that wraps around and my ABS module brackets. So Basically it was as far back as i could put it and wedged over towards the inside as far as i could put it.

Hope this helps!!!!

I think I have it worked out. I'm going to try and mount it just behind the right side fog light location, sorta cocked at an angle to clear the bumper. I'll throw up a pic if it works out. Thanks for the ideas guys.
