At the moment I'm shifting with a shift box, but I hate holding the damn thing. My tcu is fried so its been completely deleted, what options do I have other than the shift box?

Forced Four Shift Box Lite. You have to use the buttons, the lite version doesn't come with a hand held unit. I plan on upgrading to the version where u can use buttons and\or program shift points.

I'm currently using the plus, and I don't believe is possible to program it to shift for you

Nope, just the stock shifter. I did take the controller off the top of the transmission and replace it with a 92. The 93 is a modular setup and the 92 has a wiring harness.

ill have to look in to that, I have a 93 and I didn't know there was a difference. if I was to do the manumatic mod, would I have to swap to the 92 harness as well?

I did it because I can revert back to stock if I wanted to. It is easier to wire the 92 selector. You can take it off the top of the transmission and wire it on the bench. Then it's just a matter of running a couple of wires into the cab. Mine was a manual 5 speed that I swapped for an auto.

oh I see. unfortunately my stock shifter is worn out big time. in order to do the manumatic I will have to install a ratchet shifter. I wonder If I can wire the shift box input to the an after market shifter.

Not sure on the shift box wiring, but as far as the shifter goes, just hook the cable to it and shift. I would have to assume that the box will need wired to the shift soloniods in the transmission. That's easy enough. It will probably need a rpm signal from the ecu and an overdrive switch.

I dont have mine installed or finished yet but i will be using the road surge system and i am building paddle shifters for behind the steering wheel, i thought about buttons but i kinda dont like to do it that way

The clock spring has 5 wires. So you get 5 choices. 1 goes to horn, 1 for upshift, 1 for down shift, 1 for ground, 1 for nitrous.

I tried grounding the upshift and down shift to the steering column to free up another wire but the ground wasnt clean.

my tcu is completely deleted. I'm thinking It my work on the stock shifter.

The shifter moves a cable. The cable goes to a shaft on the transmission. The shaft goes thru an electrical switch and then down to the valve body.

It is in this electrical switch that controls the shift soloniods. To run the soloniods, you need 12v.
The manumatic mod does this thru the box. Whatever gear you select on the shifter is then making the a certain contact path in the electrical box that goes to the shift soloniods.

You could just pull the cable with your bare hands and shift the car. If the shifter is sloppy, you can get bushings at ace hardware.
A ratchet shifter in a daily driver is up to the owner. In Houston traffic, it would suck.

What I'm saying here is you can use whatever method you want to move the cable, it's the electrical part that matters.
The shift boxes work, and so does the kiggley mod. I paid about 5 dollars for the diodes and the transmission shifts great and will shift at any rpm.
