Heres the deal, whenever i put my tranny in reverse or put the car in "D" they both jerk when i place it in gear..My cars shift pretty smooth while driving...No grinding..Oo also when i put it in reverse i would here like a metal clang sound not to loud with the jerk..Do i need to start saving up for a tranny rebuild?? what u guys think...

uhh ooo i think its getting worse...now its hard to put in D and it wont even stay in 2 or L it jus pops up to drive..like its resisting to go to D,2,L.. I have to force it and hold it there... i think its this part in the pic, is this the shift linkage? its right under the shift box witha ll the letter P,R,D, etc.. on the passenger side...sorry the pic sucks but i hope it gives u guys idea what i am talking about..whats the cure to this problem?

That's part of the linkage assembly. Just make sure all the springs are ok. Other than that suggestion, I've never had a problem so I don't know what else to tell you.
