Alright so I've finally got to rip the car hard and while it does shift it shifts like a noodle. I just recently upgraded the fittings on top of the transmission to an m12x1.25 with a 10mm end. I went from a 3/8 to 5/8 hose to a huge transmission cooler. While the Temps stay around 120 to 140 the shifts are very sluggish.
I bought a whole valve body on here awhile ago with a shift kit already installed but it feels very sloppy. When I first took it out the shifts felt pretty firm but when I got back I was about 2 quarts low so I added and that's when the shifts started to feel loose. I checked the fluid in neutral, warmed up. I'm using ATF+4 since that's what I read to use and I've dropped and filled it at least 3 times. The fluid looks brand new.
I'm not upset at all about it, I just wish it shifted a little more firm.
I guess I should have asked my question, is there anyway I can make it shift a littler firmer without the use of a shift box.
