where does this wire go?

I was driving around and noticed the stock oil pressure gauge stopped working. I'm assuming its due to this wire is hanging off the oil filter housing but dont know/can't find where its supposed to go.

It goes to the oil pressure sender.

ya that is for your O.P. It will not hurt anything to leave it unplugged like that.

that sh*t got unplugged from mine once. I was running late to school and I was in the expressway going pretty fast until i saw my oil pressure gauge it was all the way to the bottom. I put it in nuetral and turned the engine off right away, i move to the side hoping it did not mess up bearings again. Open the hood and saw that stupid wire unplugged. I was pretty relieved i just connected it back and went on my way to class
