Where does this wire go?

I have this yellow wire coming out of somewhere and I have no idea where it goes. It is right next to my altenator plug and it was never plugged in when I purchased the vehicle. Can someone tell me what it is and where it goes to? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I think its a wire that connects onto the power sterring pump. You should see where it goes. Its on the top.

What does it do? My power steering works just fine and I have 12-14 volts coming out of this wire. Someone else told me they thought it goes to the power steering so you may be right. I was hoping it had something to do with my altenator since I am having some issus with it.

It goes to a PS pressure switch in the PS. It then connects to the ECU so it can monitor it.

From what I understand, it will slightly boost the rpms when under a heavy steering load.
BTW that crush washer on your exhaust looks as if it is about to slip through the flange

^^ thats right it bumps the rpm's up while you steer.
