One thing I see missing, tires or suspension. With fwd all the power in the world is useless if you can't get it to the ground. I for one am not that great at getting it to the ground early on and my times reflect that.

I have suspension and brakes as well, didn't want to list it just in case I get in trouble for listing or something. Well, here it is....

Suspension/Handling/Brakes-
-94 big brake upgrade
-Stainless steel brake lines all around
-Powerslot rotors all around
-Metal master brake pads all around
-Kyb agx (4adj in front 8way adj in back)
-Eibach prokit springs 3/4 inch drop
-Front and back strut tower braces

Electronic-
-Super afc 1
-Autometer black face exhaust temp gauge and boost gauge inside center vent
-Greddy turbo timer
-MMCD datalogger on Handspring Treo 300

Set those rear shocks to 8 when you hit the strip. I typically run 1 and 8 with my AGX/sportline combo. 2/8 tends to get me more wheelhop.

it's already set 1/8. how many horses you think im running?

Now, now, now. No bench dyno threads.

Suffice it to say you'll make enough for your goals if you can put the power to the ground. :thumb:

just ordered my m&h slicks and weld draglites yesterday.. 450whp plus slicks, hopefully I will be close to 11's if not should be in the 12's for sure.:rocks:

You should have no problem hitting low low low low 12's and high 11's should be pretty much garunteed if you can get out off the line well.

Hey whats up my fellow fwd'ers. I haven't had time to go to the track yet but I would like some opinions and suggestions on my setup before I head over there. I'm looking to get into the very low 13's/high 12's before summer and if i hit that I'll up my goals. Let me know what ya'll think I'm running so far. Here's my setup so far.:talon:
-HKS 264/272 cams
-Unorthodox underdrive pulley
-Buschur front mount intercooler
-Buschur full 3inch exhaust
-Buschur 3inch downpipe
-test pipe
-2g MAS
-Injen Intake
-255 walbaro fuel pump
-550cc injectors
-Manual boost controller
-Ported 2g exhaust manifold
-3" tubular 02 housing w/ external dump
-Evo 3 B16G turbo
-Blitz BOV
-8mm magnecore wires
-ACT 2600 clutch w/ streetdisk
-short shifter
-Aeromotive FPR

Put a god damn stock Damnpener on the car, for your motor's sake.

It is called a dampener because it does just that, dampen any vibrations that the crank experiences. Without it in place, your bearings are left unprotected from any forces that the dampener would have otherwise taken care of.

In short, take it off.

This is a bit OT, but harmonic dampers are for cars driven on the street. Cars used for racing don't need them. After all, it's called a harmonic damper because it helps cancel out engine harmonics, which are vibrations from different sources that share the same, or complimentary frequencies. Think of freeway drone here. If the rpms don't change, the vibration will harmonize and amplify. A race engine never stays at the same rpm for more than a second or two and won't need harmonic dampers.

a couple key factors here. 1: he's obviously a good driver with that 60' and has slicks.
2: his race weight was 2750!?!? <--(how the heck did he pull that off)? 3: i don't know how the heck he got that kind of whp out of stock injectors. (only on race gas i suppose).

ask any fwd on here, this guy's time is RARE for that mod list.

Weight reduction, practice, and racegas is key :thumb: I'm also really lucky to have a DSM shop close by that knows how to tune magically with a translator. I just recently added a Slowboyracing LSD, Mitsu 4-layer HG, and ARP Headstuds...hopefully the LSD will allow me to pull some 1.8 60's :D

Click on his e.t. for details.

1.9 60' on slicks
13.0 but at only 106mph
14b
race gas

i was trapping 106 mph on a 14b and stock injectors on pump gas, but I couldn't hook up so my best was a 14.05 .
106 is a good trapspeed for pump :thumb: The more you hook, the lower your traps will be usually. I have trapped 108 before, but i ran a slower ET (13.1) due to a slower 60' (2.0).

Want to share those magic tricks?:thumb: :D

I for one only dream of having traction this year! LOL. Hopefully I will be able to break 11's as well. I have some serious issues to work out right now. I have a huge boost leak that developed in my TB(I can't hold ####ing 12 pounds of air for more than like 2 seconds!!!), I am blowing out spark even with the plugs gapped as small as .022OMG , and I NEED meth/water injection. Then I hope to see some good times. I am a good 40whp down from my high dyno numbers of 402whp so something serious needs to happen if I want to turn some good times.
sounds like you need to replace your tb shaft seals. Every 1g car i have owned leaked from the shaft seals as fast as the air went in it would leak back out.

Oh I know that's what it is. It is the rear one, the leak is so bad it vibrates the spring that hold the throttle plate closed untill it chatters from boucning of the tb itself.

I know he has slicks and I know they would be needed to get into the 12's. I also know its rare, but atleast there is some hope.:p:)

Oh theres plenty of hope, its not that hard, seems like people just give up too easily on the smaller turbos. haha, and if that cocky boostin_2_high kid could do it, I'm sure you could.

Hell I ran a 12.1 in my fwd on the big16 not the evo, and the plan is to get it into the 11s this season. Same turbo.
