2G what spark plugs and plug wires do you recomend?

Ngk br6es is what I run, I don't like the protruded tip on the bpr

I would recommend some NGKs with NGK copper plugs bpr6es like other members are recomending. Vendors like STM or punisment racing sell them.

BTW there has been about 20 threads of people asking what wires and plugs to get in the past few days; WTH is going on??? LOL.

Is there a special reason as to why you don't like those??

ok thanks

ok and whats the difference between 10mm and 8mm wires?
what should i go with?

and what about accel plug wires?

The difference between 10mm and the 8mm wires is the size of course and supposibly the thicker the wire the less resistance and more conductivity of electric current that you will get.

what about those Diamond fire ones that dont need gapping? they have been dynoed and show HP increases in most cars, I saw them on one of those build shows on T.V.

Because those build shows are corporate shills, and there is nothing wrong with a normal plug. HP increase, my ass. You either fire from ignition, or fire from detonation. A plug isn't going to give any more power if the mixture ignites from a spark.

I don't follow the "sticky" question.

That's a 14 year old TSB from Magnecor.

I never had an issue with Magnacore. I ran them on 4 of my DSMs making as much as 400AWHP. I switched over to COP.
I have been running the same set of Mangcores for the past 5 or 6 years. They are very good wires.

However for the OP, I would have gotten the stock NGK wires. They are cheap, effective, and were the OEM wires. I used a set of cheap colored accel wires once and they burned though. Yes, burned though.

I had similar problem with my accel wires, +1 on ngk stuff

they don't fit on the plugs properly the housing is wrong for the 2g dsm

I am running a set of Magnecore wires without any fitment issues. No ignition issues at 700+whp 35psi+ boost :thumb:
Very happy with the quality and performance overall.

I was running a set of MSD wires which I bought NEW and at some point I began hearing a whining noise from the car speakers (under 5K miles on wires).

I had Magnecore custom make wires for me beased on the lenght I requested and different type of boots to fit new coil packs. Stock coil packs were replaced with Dynatek coils and were relocated under the intake manifold, so, some wires had to be longer compared to stock lenght. No more whining noise :)

Spark plugs have been discussed hundreds of times. It always come back that either ngk or autolite standard copper plugs work best. I personally suggest you run ngk bpr6es plugs gapped at .028". My wire of choice is Taylor spiro pro wires. I have had better luck with them than any other. I had issues with 2 sets of magnecors.

And why would you run ngk br6es plugs? The projected tip plugs put the electrode into the combustion chamber where it belongs. The standard length tips can missfire or create hot spots which are the cause of detonation.
