I don't have any clue what it is. The "nut" as I am calling it is rubber coated and smooth. I became curious when I found a red wire behind the driver seatbelt had been left cut and just sitting there. The wire was flat, not round like all the other wire in the car. I tried to pull the wire out but it ran into what I think is the frame rail and I couldn't get to it at all. After deducting the wire lead to the rear wheel well, I confirmed my suspicions.

The problem is now I know what the cut red wire goes to, but the "thing" that its attached to I cant get out. The nut screwed off and left a non stock looking hole, at least I think that because the hole is all chewed up looking, not a clean cut circle.

Anyways.. I spent a good hour trying to get whatever this thing is. Can someone please tell me what it is, if it is stock, and if not, can anyone tell me ways to get to this area of the car where I could fit this 1.5 inch (a guess) thing out.

Through a non stock hole (a hole I drilled for my aero kit) I was able to fish the thing over to see if I could pull it out of that hole, but that 7/8" hole was too small to pull it out. My guess is the thing is about 1.25-1.5 inches big.

What is it?

How do I get it out?

Thanks.

Whatever it is, it's not stock. Some sort of aftermarket accessory that was added, and then removed but the wiring and that plug was left behind? Maybe someone else can chime in here and give a better explanation.

if your wanting it out to put the stock plug back in it, a screwdriver and hammer will pry it out. definitely something aftermarket like door open switch for shaved door handles.

Well I man handeled it out..

No idea what it was for, but it looks to be a button.

Thanks for the suggestions folks.

Looks to me like a door lock popper to either unlock it or open the door?

Yes the wires has been cut as long as I have owned the car. When I bought the car however many years ago, the original car was stock as could be, no need for the switch as far as I could tell. So no idea what its original purpose was.
