Rear Driver Side Wheel Hub Rattle

Hey guys, I have a very annoying, high pitched rattle coming from my rear driver side wheel hub. It starts as soon as I move and only stops when I hit the brakes. It stays when I'm coasting, cruising, accelerating, turning, or engine braking in any gear, uphill, downhill, or flat ground . when I just barely hit the brakes, is when it stops and starts back as soon as I let off. I've checked for driveshaft play and there is no up, down, left, right, in, or out play. Currently, I don't have a driver side parking Brake cable, as it was broken when I got the car. I removed the driver side Brake caliper and the outer pad fell out when I did. The pads are good, though. There is no axle play, either, or any sway bar play.

I only heard a rattle/clunking noise. Almost sounds like something loose is rattling around inside the drum for the parking brake. Or maybe the inside pad wear indicator rubbing against the rotor?

Ha, ha. You know - the one that ripped off and fell into the parking brake drum through the missing brake shoe adjuster plug hole.

1Gs don't have parking brake drums.

That's kinda what I was thinking also. I didn't recall seeing a drum assembly back there . Just a cable and spring setup

Sound like it's missing the anti rattle clips for the brake pads.

Well i noticed one clip piece on the outer one that seemed to be kind of flat. I was going to pull the caliper and bend that around the pad some, later today.
