Hey All! I'm new to the dsm world.. Former Honda boy growing up LOL..
Im looking for a good Intake manifold for my build.(street/strip)
I have a 95' GST. The block has been bored .20, Manley crankshaft, manley H beam rods, CP pistons, elim shaft kit, fluidamper harmonic balancer. Head is basically stock but with upgraded springs, retainers, seals. I'll be on 24ish psi on pump using a precision pte5862cea and tuned with AEM EMS. I could go on with mods but I think that should be enough for my question LOL.
So, what Is a good intake manifold for my street/strip build?
Thanks

If you have a 1g head, check out the new Magnus cast manifold. That thing is a BEAST! If you have a 2g head the RVR/Evo3 manifold will be just fine.

Thanks for the input guys!... To answer the question of it being a 6 bolt, Thats a "hell no"... Threw a rod and came across a rare find. The engine is actually a 93' RS 7 bolt version (true JDM). With the cyclone intake mani also came with the yellow top 510cc injectors and the big 16G turbo STOCK - just had crankwalk after 2 weeks of enjoyment LOL.... So now I think I fixed that problem with the bottom end =)

So you just have an evo motor. Same block and head everyone else has. Cams have a slight different profile though.

If your on the 2g head I would look into rvr intake. If your on the 1g, id agree to look into the new Magnus

The cyclone makes me feel butterflies, LOL.. It performs good and you should already have it, but everyone has diferent taste and likes diferent things, good luck :)

stock will do everything you want, but if you wanna go aftermarket, magnus, JMFabs are some good choices.

If you arent putting any aftermarket cams then you are wasting your money on a intake manifold. The stock ones are good for about 400-500hp. With your setup you could actually lose some top or bottom end power if you put on a smim. I'd spend money on a new set of cams before I spent money on a intake manifiold, especially with an unported head. And who the hell is telling this kid to go buy the new magnus intake mani? are you stupid? that is for bigboy power not what this kid is trying to make.

There's nothing on the market better than the V3 IMO..

I'll race anyone in the area who wants to challenge that.. LOL

I have HKS 272's... so stock or not? LOL

Again, your turbo will factor in. In all reality, you could possibly be loosing power by using the 272 cams with the 16g if you are not utilizing the power band it shifted to.

There are better things you can spend your money on than an intake, shit, I'm still using an RVR intake on my HX40.

I'm using an rvr on my 20g, its a great intake manifold and really cleans the engine bay up in my 1g. With it my 2g head pr fmic and gsc cams spool is almost identical to my old 16g i had on my old 2g.

Im not running a 16g LOL. Completely built short block running stock 2g head minus the cams, dual springs, retainers and seals, FMIC and tuning with AEM EMS and plan to run 22-24lbs on pump. The only thing I don't have is an intake mani...
