What did you do to your DSM today?

I have. I did a complete restoration of all the HVAC boxes behind the dash. They're not really filters, just foam that seals up the doors. I assume yours have turned to dust like mine had? I don't have a write up on it but I took a bunch of photos and I can tell you how I did it.

Yep they turned to dust. The box housng the heater core and flaps i hosed down and that foam disappeared immediately.

I bought some universal washable foam material and will cut to shape and replace.

Are you sure you car is not low on Freon by any chance if not just jump the A/C compressor with a wire directly to the battery positive Post +++ ok

We got some foam insulation freezer tape and completely rebuilt that HVAC box. My son and I used it on his Honda Accord HVAC and it works fantastic. It works like new again.
In other news, I took my TSI to town tonight, looking for "victims" but they were all hiding. I saw a Plymouth Road Runner earlier but couldn't find him tonight.
I did a 9k pull buy the house (3-4) and I guess the truck I passed tried to "catch up". My buddy that was standing outside said "you were putting BUSSES on that Black Truck!" I said " there was someone trying to play?" Dam. Lmao, bye bye

I haven't been doing anything for a while since it has been too hot here. But I motivated myself to set the valve/guide clearance, lapped valves and installed the late EVO's beehive springs. And played with a 2g 7 bolt tensioner in 1g 7 bolt and 6 bolt. The 2g 7 bolt tensioner seems to work in both 6 bolt and 1g 7 bolt with a little work. 6 bolt and 1g 7 bolt owners would have one more option instead of aftermarket one in the future.

Stripped down a pair of 18" steelies... 3 more to go but the first two were clear coated... Here are a few shots... For now had to put the old adr comp7 wheels back on... One day I'll find a 5th wheel... (Having a full size spare is a requirement for me)

Header installed... This thing is ridiculous... Dropped the rpms more than I expected one thing that concerns me is the 02 sensor placement vs the stock angle of entry... And the oil pan gasket(and a new pan) is on order as well...

Brushed steel wheels and new tires are on the car... I'm still on the lookout for a 5th adr comp7 wheel.... One day (shakes fist at sky) BUT now I have a full size spare...

Just a cheap eBay header.. 112 bucks.. the OEM manifold had some cracks that I didn't even see until I had pulled the heat sheilding off.. I raptor lined the exhaust with the flame proof stuff. That 16" extension welded to it is a different metal than the stainless. Should help protect from rust.. something I should also add if you do what I did. Make sure to heat massage that pipe closer to the body.. it was loooooowwwwww....
