Pulled the intake manifold and alternator. I added the Fiba Motorsports pulley to the alternator and swapping from an FRH manifold to a JMF street.

I tried uploading a photo but it wouldn't go past 11%. Maybe file is to large?

Edit: got it!

That sounds familiar. Oh I think the one I sort of remember, it was too big to send in an email (Outlook on Windows 11 desktop computer).
What I figured out was that my phone (Samsung S24) had been taking "Motion Photos" ever since some wacky update a while back. It was taking Motion Photos instead of regular photos. Turns out a Motion Photo is actually a short video. So naturally the file size is way big.
You can turn off the Motion Photo thing with a little button in the camera app - Samsung button looks kind of like a "Play" button in a rounded square. Or google Motion Photo for more info.

Or you might have accidentally hit the "50M" button (50-megapixel) which takes pics with way too much data size.

Out of hibernation...

Was retorquing all the suspension pieces that i took apart last year on Friday since i was off work and it was 70 degrees. Took the car to the school down the street today, where its one big oval "track", just to make sure everything was okay. Couldnt have asked for a better drive. Took it on the street a little bit and it still performed great. Quiet...No odd suspension noises and no idle fluctuations.

A few things i did noticed tho.
1.Coolant gauge didnt seem to work at all.
2.No matter what I do, i cant get this lower radiator hose to not leak at the block. Its not a bad leak, but enough. It leaked all winter with the flucuation from cold to colder temperatures. Ive replaced the hose with a stock rubber one and new constant tension spring clamps. Used some nondrying thermostat sealant the last time. Still leaks. I think i may have dented the spout a little bit by previously using one of those constant tension clamp that you tighten and fluid is slilghtly slipping by the new clamps. Frustrating because ive drained coolant and taken this hose off 3 times now. Otherwise this car is good to go for the season. 🤞
try to check whole housing for any crack, if you find any, replace for a good one, i think 1 good check is better than that you did many times

just installed a SparkTECH coil on plug kit on my 2g last weekend and took the car out to make a pull, and on the way back to the house I ran over a bad spot on the road and heard a bang and then all of the sudden grinding coming from somewhere upfront under the car. The sound I hear makes me think it’s like my driveshaft is rubbing the tunnel or maybe a u joint that’s bad, but I know that’s not what it is. I looked at my rear CV’s and they appear fine, the carrier bearings look fine too so I’m thinking I blew out a wheel bearing, or atleast hope it’s something obvious and not transmission related. The grinding noise is only when the car is in motion so it’s not rpm related, i can also hear it in every gear, but noticed it’s louder in 3rd, maybe cause of the speed I’m going? I also have a forced four shift box basic in the car to manually shift between gears and it started giving me shift issues right after this happened so that’s why I’m hoping it’s not actually something going on with the trans, but my plan is to get the car on jacks next week and manually spin the tires to see if i can pinpoint where the noise is coming from. One thing I didn’t do was pop the trans in neutral when I first heard it to see if the noise was still present or if it would have went away. Anyway, that’s what I’ve got going on for now, I’ve owned this car for 2 years and little by little I’m getting it to a state I want it in. I have new window tint for my hatch and door windows I need to install too, so I can beat the Texas heat this summer. I also have vinyl wrap to clean up the bad paint on the car. Gonna wrap the A pillar, roof, and a portion of the hatch in black vinyl. But the cosmetic stuff is gonna have to wait until I can get this new problem figured out.

That would have to be a hell of a bend for the drive shaft to rub, it would shake the car to pieces. Perhaps one of the exhaust heat shields has come loose.

Downpipe fully welded out and wideband sensor added in.

I've tried to hold my silence for awhile now, but I can't take this anymore. You should be banned for this.

Reupholstered the headliner last year. Found a sunroof cover on eBay, reupholstered it and installed it over the weekend.
Had to pick up new clips since some of them were damaged.

Man it been a while but the car is still doing great. Well besides my AFR gauge giving me some weird readings so its back to troubleshooting! It bottoms out to lean and stays there but will ocassionally go to full rich and then tick its way down to full lean. Other times it will actually pull readings and then after a minute at most bottom out to full lean. I think the sensor may just have stuff built up on it from the exhaust but if thats the case I cant imagine thats good either. I have a log from a recent outting with the car if anyone wants to check it out?

Hopefully Ill be able to drive it up to Ozark Raceway here in Missouri before I move to California. Oh and funny enough the CAS has been leaking too (probably because I didnt fully seal it after pulling the valve cover to check the head studs) so there is that too haha but what CAS on any car doesnt leak?

Pop into your local parts stores and ask for a Dorman #80024, Distributor O-ring Assortment. It has 2 or 3 of the proper size o-rings for your CAS. I keep them around for old units that are hard or cracked and they won't leak.

Finished buttoning everything up a few days ago. Just need to change the spark plugs and oil/filter and she's ready for 2026.

Also taking her to get the windows tinted this coming week. I'll post pictures after.
