Wired up an Eco/Power switch from a 1G Auto, to function as my "scramble boost" button for my AEM TruBoostX.

Super stoked with how it turned out. If you didn't know DSMs or really pay attention to small details you'd miss that it's auto switch and a manual transmission. Super easy to do as well. Details in my build thread, exact post link is here.

Fixed two things today. One was in this thread here. I found a replacement for the little light bulb that goes in the power/eco switch for $7 instead of a custom ordered $30+ japan item. Which was awesome.

But something that's honestly blowing my mind into pieces...I fixed my shifting issues by adjusting the cables. I cannot believe that was the issue, or how it even worked for so long up until now. I did the synchro test by having it idle, foot off the clutch pedal, and holding it into gear and the engine lugged down like it should/no grind. So adjusted the cables and BAM! 2nd gear is BACK baby, no grinds or issues even shifting fast.

Still so stunned that worked.

Finished ugg primer on and some touch up work in the bay

Man, you’re so lucky. I tried everything on my 2g but I think the 1-2 fork is shot

New trans is ready with a competition clutch fork this time around 😬

I know. I still can’t really believe it. All I could say while driving other than “no f**king way” was “this stuff doesn’t happen to me!” Lmao.

I have that same comp fork!

Got an engine rebuild in progress.

Tested out my new scramble boost button, pleased to report it works great. For everyone's amusement, here's the first test passes. Ricer excuses in my build thread HERE.

Cliff notes - launched baby soft on low boost, then grabbed scramble button. Boost goes woosh, blue line goes brrrrr.

Cliff notes - Got overexcited like a teenage boy seeing boobs IRL for the first time and just like that teenage boy I fumbled around and completely missed the target(third) and blew my shot, still though I got back in the throttle to run an 8.77 @ 78. After being off throttle for a solid 1.0+ second. Many lulz were had. Scramble boost button works great for sandy, dirty Florida streets on super hard all season tires.

Installed a Megan racing 3 inch cat-back and I'm very pleased with it. When I bought my HKS 2.5 inch a few years back I scoured the internet and couldn't find anything, was bored recently and did a google search and it popped up. Small wins.

PS. anyone want to buy a HKS exhaust haha

My girl wont start.. Took some scope readings on the verus to check the injector pulses. I dont have a low voltage amp clamp atm. So I cant verify if the injectors are opening slightly or not. Sourcing someone to flow test and clean my injectors locally. Really dont want to get some new injectors.. Looking into some inline filters to prevent this from being a normal thing. I dont want to be getting good at taking out the fuel pump, the injectors.. But Im glad its easier now.... I checked all resistances for all 4 injectors.. 2.50-2.53 all 4 injectors read. Tomorrow i'll message that guy again about cleaning.. 10$ an injector, new filters too. Flowtested, I think if I give him 2 he lets me have a free cleaning and test. Inline fuel filter sounds like it needs to be in the play book. Learning what all this stuff in DSMLink is telling me on this no start.

Asked chatEBT if it could help me tune my car and tell me what was going on in the logs. It was about to show me how to manipulate my SD tables.. All interesting stuff. Ive nerded out on this stuff all day.. Just need my turd back!! Thanks for reading this, if you really like reading this stuff check out my build thread. Shes almost back up.... :)
