Once again, lookin' good Nate!

Picked up my parts from the coaters today and started prepping the engine to bolt everything on.

cut out the rear upper control arm bushings and slid the poly replacements in yesterday. Today, I just finished getting the ebrake cables bolted back in.

Not sure what to do next since I have all evening. I still need to cut out the rear lateral arm bushings, but my body saw is on the fritz. This AWD conversion is a slow, awesome process.

Well, I figured I'd find some enticing work if I looked long enough. Welded up the AWD bolt incisions and the X-brace, fixed the top bag and installed the trunk. The hard part is done provided I don't run into issues in the manual to automatic swap.

:hellyeah:

I still need to hook up the lateral arms and torque the rear suspension. Once that's done, all systems will be "go" to start pulling the engine/trans out of my parts car.

2GB Talon Spyder AWD FTW!

Boost leak testing round 2... Launched my biss over my house and into my back yard, bought new biss, installed new biss, still wouldn't start, cried, slammed hood and went to play Xbox.

In that order.

Pretty much finished interior side engine/ecu harness. Still need to route a few wires and solder a couple more things but I'm almost done.

Engine side harness, done-ish. Needs a TPS pig tail soldered on, boost gauge wires added and my WBO2.

Went to the bar had a beer and drove home thinking what have I got myself into...

I say that same thing everyday. I've got a wideband in the mail, and I am honestly scared of the results. Just wait until you get through your first month.

If I make it that long LOL. I hope I can fix the issues on the car and keep it. If i get really pissed off ill more than likely just sell it. But,,, Lets hope it doesnt come to that cause I really like the car.

Please don't. Those issues are SMALL LOL. Try buying a 20 year old awd talon that sat for a few years. Backwards intake manifold gasket. Plug wires screwed up. RTV gaskets leaking oil everywhere, I could go on with all of the problems I have fixed and am still fixing LOL.

That says how much you love that car man. I hope I get to liking mine that much. Its just a completely different ball game for me. Im used to Forced Induction V8. My 03 Cobra was the most reliable performance vehicle I ever owned. I loved that car.. I maintained it though. It was only an upper pulley car and was slow but still by far most reliable peformance car ive ever owned.

Pulled this sucker out yesterday:

I have no doubt that it's the original Mitsubishi strut. How many miles on the car? Oh, only 153k heavily abused miles. I'm not sure if it's funny or scary. :|

these cars are great i am truely addicted to them :ohdamn: LOL but you will be expecting some more things to go wrong with this car. im not trying to scare you out of it, but these cars are prone to something going wrong (dont get me wrong they hold up a lot better with all maintaince done) but they will most likely always break something. itll be easier to work on and i think its fun fixing them jus as long as you have something else to drive but welcome to the dsm world... i love these cars good luck and hope you dont give up

That sucks bro but you will fix the issues quickly. Makes me feel lucky though, when I installed my WB it ran a perfect 14.7 at idle and cruise and exactly 10.5 at WOT...

Maybe the previous owner lied to me that it was his wife's daily driver??? LOL
