Fixed the boost creep by adding a silencer to the muffler and giving the car a little back pressure. So no at stock boost and running good. Still runs a 10.0afr though. Car feels sluggish even on the evo 3.

Gotta love installing new coated parts...

All that's left is the BEP 16g hotside turbo setup Jus modified for me and the DSM will be ready to make a few passes, I hope.

You install that subframe yet Corey?

No. :(

Anything I do to my car can't require that I jack it up off the ground because it's in a storage unit and I'm not allowed to work on it. I finally got a closing date on the house so the subframe Paul built me will be on before February, can't wait to have a garage.

Wrenching on the car in a storage unit sucks, especially when there's no room to work, no light, and no airflow.

Quick question for you Gofer, where did you get your red/black Flex Fuel badges? The one above looks different than the old one, but I can't find either. CF hatch looks epic btw!

What badge? This isn't the FlexFuel badge you're looking for. ROFL

The one in my gallery (Mitsu FFV Badge) was done by a guy named Jaison at Third Shift Studio, I've referred quite a few Tuners to him so just send him the picture out of my gallery and he'll know what you need.

Thanks for the compliments on the hatch but it's purely cosmetic unless you install lexan. Sucks as I was hoping to drop some more weight off this pig...

My 20g was just rebuilt by Justin and is in. :D
New VRSF is in
Found some small rust spots behind old intercooler, cleaned and treated

Waiting on oil restrictor before i fire her up...ordered it october 17th...####ing ebay

oil restrictor in. Car fired up and ran like a dream with the new turbo and vrsf fmic. Way better throttle response over the greddy 24v long route pos. Ripped out the viper alarm system prev owner had installed and programmed a fob I bought off eBay works great!! The viper was killing my battery and constantly conflicting with the OEM alarm. Car pulled fast hard and strong can't wait to re dyno her.

Nonsence Corey!! When I was in the Air Force and living in the dorms we werent even allowed to change a tire in the parking lot. So guess what I did? Numerous oil changes and this! :p

I know that was a long time ago. So to stay on topic, I drove my 1g today and was getting pissed off at it.

I have no doubt that it's the original Mitsubishi strut. How many miles on the car? Oh, only 153k heavily abused miles. I'm not sure if it's funny or scary. :|

i pulled mine out about a month ago it had the stockers on it with 265k on them!:thumb:

Dropped the front sub frame, tore it down and cleaned everything up for paint; then worked on cleaning up my headlights and corner lenses. One day I'm sure I'll eventually finish this dumb 92 Talon build.....one day.::p

The 1g eclipse I bought had the orginial mitsu struts in it as well with 134k miles on them.

Got my H11 headstuds in , GSC cams bolted down, new cam seals in place just to find out when i put the CAS cover plate on, that I need the intake cam drilled and tapped for my 97 CAS trigger. :ohdamn:

...oh wait that was 3 days ago. If the machine shop doesnt call me back today I'm buying a f#!*%'n drill press.

If I was craftier with a hand drill my baby would be together already and we'd be spending some quality time tuning her idle.

I decided it was time to clean my OEM lifters and pretty up some of the engine bay with it.

I also painted the heat shields black and gloss them up a bit.

pulled the engine out of the 97 talon getting ready for the 6 bolt swap

o boy.

Well when i took off the passenger tire to get the axel out but its like..the axel wouldnt come out, i couldnt get the tie rods unhooked from the knuckle...it was a shit show.
then treid to take the driver side wheel off, the ####ing lug nut key snapped off in the lug...

so i basically had to do the whole driver side suspension in order to jimmy out the axel...
after that was done though the whole engine/tranny lifted out pretty easily

http://i.imgur.com/U0DWR.jpg

Discovered that the transmission was held on by only 6 bolts.
the front motor mount was not bolted in, just sitting in the mount
transfer case was missing two bolts that hold it in
driver side wheel is ####ed and never coming off.
various other bolts missing
