Mistaking an exhaust leak for lifter tick?
Thats gotta be a hearing issue there or something. Idk how one could have trouble defining the two.

I had a very very tiny leak right

manifold [here] head;

like everyone that listened to it said it sounded like lifter tick. I even have a thread on here about it with a video to see what people would say and it was "lifter tick". Replaced manifold gasket and its gone.

installed my water temp and oil pressure gauge. Now I need a sending unit for for oil gauge. Wish I could pull the engine out already th oil leaks are driving me Crazzy. Still waiting on boost fuel mix and pressure gauges . Decided not to sell it and keep on DSMing

Installed skate bearings underhood. Polyurethane shifter base bushings, broke biss screw so changed throttle bodies which was good cause the other has a metal screw and less of a leak there. Reinstalled cruise control and adjusted my idle. She's running good.

Also changed steering column.

Next new mounts with inserts uca prothane bushings up front.
And turbo rebuild.

thank you. im just scared running so many aftermarket parts with the stock tune. dont want to mess anything up. what safc do u recomend? and what does that stand for. i mean i have seen them but dont know what that stands for

Safc=super air fuel controller..AFC =air fuel controller.

You can run a few aftermarket, or upgraded parts on a stock tune..Just depends on WHAT parts.

Most common, is the 16g on the stock fuel system question.So dont hesitate to ask if you have questions ;)

Safc can, but 650s are the ceiling for that. Use an safc for now, but start saving for link. Can't go higher than 650s unless you have link.

Theres ways around an safc with lets say 880 injectors.But lets not get into that.
If your going to keep modding Link over an safc everyday.An safc kinda "tricks the ecu" .

Where as with Link..There is no tom foolery, and you have many options, vs the safc where your options are air, and fuel only.

thanks bud. i will be purchasing dsm link lite v3 next spring. and thats what im running, an mhi 16 guage. 272 cams etc.....

Hey thank you..You dont get too many people who actually say thank you for your help..You just made my day;)

With the help from the tech section.I'm starting to break down my extra 1g head.

I need some measuring caliper thingy tho Bogus told told me to get.

Watch out for Bogus he's out trying to fool people into getting his thingy again! :tease:
Couldn't help it! Sorry

All I did was look at my DSM while I went out the garage to go to work.
