Hey guys,

Have a horrible question that I should already know but I don't so here it is; I will be running my wastegate on my manifold, and there are two flanges on the wastegate. One obviously to hook up to the manifold. Now I do not know what the other flange hooks up to. Is it a discharge pipe or?

Thanks tuners!

Yes, you are right, and you can recirculate it to the exhaust or just leave it vented under the car

Almost here, EVOs call it Screamer pipe XD (when it is vented)

Screamer pipe...hmm sounds quite annoying LOL

^ Dumped (non-recirculated) wastegates/O2 hosuings are very loud. If your running a smaller or quick spooling turbo, it can get annoying very quick. I had an open dump with my 16g so after 3k rpm it sounded like a small jet aircraft taking flight from under the car. Cool for the first week, but after that I didn't enjoy it at all.

Im getting my new setup ready and im actually looking foward to the open dump.

To each his own, but I hated it after a short period of time. They sound beastly and my dumped O2 housing helped with boost creep. But when you spend a few hours a day in your car, it gets really old.

I'm not positive right now but I'm pretty sure that won't pass visual inspection being a pre cat exhaust outlet.

I was aware of that it wont pass. See, when it was my daily I cared about emmisions but now its just my track car since I got another daily.:thumb:

Wes, No worries, I wont be in the car for hours. Its just my weekend car. I guess youtube videos doesnt really do justice. They sound quite to me unless there extremly louder in person.:hellyeah:

it really depends on your exhaust system. I've had track cars where the the wastegate just adds to the racket and it was all drowned out by my aeromotive a1000 bolted to the bottom of my ghetto sump. Even with a heavily dampened mounting, I could feel that thing in my ass through the kirkey. On a street car with a good muffled exhaust, the wastegate is loud and sounds like shuffling cards through a distorted amplifier that goes to 11.
