Can anyone tell me where these 2 shorter bolts go in the mid case of the w5m33? I guess when I tore it apart I didn't pay enough attention to where these 2 went. I've tried looking at obvious places they would fit but they seem too short for everywhere and I can't find a diagram or post about it.

Also looking for an answer as to which way the 3/4 hub slider is supposed to be orientated. I remember reading somewhere that the more tapered edge of one side is supposed to go specifically to either the 3rd or 4th gear but I can't remember which side.

Thanks for any advice

What book is that? I can't seem to find anything for 3rd gear in either the training manual or the "manual transaxle overhaul" manual that I keep finding online. I see what I'm asking about for 5th gear though.

Here is my 1990 transmission rebuild picture of the 3/4 slider.
I am sorry, I can't remember which holes the short bolts go into, if I even had any that were shorter.

Your slider looks like the sharper angle is facing towards 3. I think I have to swap mine around

This is the original Japanese factory service manual for '92 models from Mitsubishi. I sometimes see the english versions have missing info or misprint. I don't know why they skipped some part. My book has for 3rd/4th and 5th both.

Yes that is correct. Hisroshi's picture from the service manual shows it also. I circled it in Red.

Those short bolts don't go to the trans. And I put the sharper teeth toward 3rd.
Then I guess I'm missing a few these were all that came off this trans. I guess that doesn't surprise me..

My eyes must be bad. Both those angles look the same to me LOL

I'll get it swapped around

I might have mine backwards. I can say that it shifted like butter though.
