1G 93+ W5M33 snap rings

Rebuilding / refreshing my 93+ trans with new stuff.

I've been referencing the service manual exploded views to see how to put everything back together and check clearances, etc etc.

This is the manual I've been using

The diagram shows that there is one snap ring just before the bearing on the bottom of the intermediate shaft, and then one again just before 2nd gear, between the hub and 2nd gear. Is that right? Is it possible I'm looking at an earlier manual or did they mistype and call the synchro spring a snap ring?

I also want to verify how many snap rings there are as I'm 100% confident Im missing 2 if the diagram is correct.

There's apparently 5
2 on the intermediate shaft?
2 on the input shaft
1 for the viscous coupler

During disassembly I was very meticulous and bagged everything with everything it came with, and I only removed 3 snap rings. I was missing the one closest to the clutch spline on the input shaft, and the 2nd on on the intermediate shaft.

Wow never seen an error like that in a factory book but that's wrong. That looks like the other synchronizer spring.

I thought that "snap ring" looked awfully huge haha

Snap rings? No. 1 on first gear side of intermediate. One underneath 5th needle bearing sleeve and one on viscous. There is a groove on first gear side of input and manual lists a snap ring but I've never seen one. Oldest 90s were supposed to have a ball bearing there from my understanding but I've not seen that either only taper bearings.

Yeah snap rings. Those are the 3 I removed as well. Just wanted to make sure that I'm doing it right.

If you're already that far you will have noticed the hubs have 2 synchronizer springs each so 6 total springs "rings"

Yeah those have all been replaced, along with 1-2 and 3-4 synchro keys, and synchros.

My main concern was just snap rings
