I am tearing my head down to replace some leaky valve seals and while i am in there i was thinking about upgrading. I have access to a full set of evo9 springs/seats/retainers. Now i want to run some 272s and have read that the evo hardware is not really an upgrade. So i have been shopping for some springs and told these would work: Search Results for 22190-16 - Mobile SummitRacing.com
The question is would these springs work and can i use the stock retainers/seats on these or even the evo retainers/seats? Any other suggestions would be helpful.

The part number you want for manley springs is: 22125-16

That is just the spring, 16 of them.

Evo retainers will not work with Manley springs. Stock DSM retainers will work with Manley springs.

EVO seats will work. Most DSM/EVO seats are the same, they just vary in thickness depending on the manufacturer.

Thank you. Is it necessary to run different retainers or will the stock hardware and those springs suit me well on the streets? Benefits?

No it is not necessary, as I stated the stock retainer will work fine. The Manley Titainium retainers benefit in two areas weight and strength. As you can see below they weigh considerably less.

As far as a street set up, I would just run them with stock retainers.
