Stock valve spring??

I just purchased a complete 2g head off of craigslist for 175. Tore the head down to find it had HKS 264/272 cams and 3g lifters. Now when i looked at the springs they had this brown coating on the top and i am not sure what they are. I want to assume they are stock by comparing them side by side. If these arent stock hopefully someone knows what these are. Here is a pic, stock is on the left and the brown top is the right:

The paint marking has faded been oil stained... Looks stock to me.
