turbo upgrade question

hello. thinking about upgrading my stock 14b turbo in my 91 laser rs. i was thinking about a small 16g. anyways will i need to change any other parts to make it fit? how many psi can i run with it at safe level. my motors been completley rebuilt but with oem parts other then it has some head work done ,cyclinders were honed. It hasnt even been started yet im working out my fuel problem at the moment. ( this is a upgrade i want to do after i get it up and runinng and broke in.)

With any 16g you will need a J-pipe to run the turbo to your stock smic. While your at it might think about getting a SS oil fed line and oil drain line. That's about all I can think of at the moment.

Wrong.
On a 1g as long as the car is not an automatic, mhi turbos are bolt on.

So op, No you will not need any extra parts besides new crush washers.

what psi could I run at a safe level? id like to achive atleast 15-18 psi as its goning to be my dd.

Withought knowing your mods, on a stock fuel You should be able to up the boost to 14-15 psi,Much more than that on the stock fuel system and you will run into trouble.Rewire it add a few more psi.

so say i get a wally fuel pump 195 or bigger maybe 550 cc or 650cc injectors wld this help me run 15 to 18 psi? anything else id need to not have fuel cut?

Op, you can run 18psi with a rewired stock fuel pump.
