Also, a cheep and easy fix for the moment would to be getting a manual boost controller. If your on stock fuel and your shooting to 20psi, your fresh build wont be lasting long.

Sure wish someone would have given this guy an answer. I have a similar issue. It idles slightly rough, but I can pull it in and out of the shop fine. But if I try to take it out on the street it just boost spikes to the moon, hits fuel cut and such. I take good care of my car, but it does have 230K on the clock. It has recent iridium plugs, ngk wires. Its a mostly stock 95 gsx, with upper ic pipe, greddy bov, ported t25, aftermarket stainless exhaust mani. injen air filter, home depot mbc. I have comped it, and its all good, no exhaust leaks, no vacuum leaks (that I've found) tested the waste gate actuator, replaced it with a known good one. My MBC is plumbed off the bov vac line to the T at the compressor housing. Tried running the stock BCS (restrictor removed), still boost like mad. I don't have an aftermarket boost gauge in it tho.... Any help is appreciated. Im a tech, but I don't get alot of free time to mess with my own stuff, and have been pretty frustrated.
Thanks.
. I had work it sucked I really wanted to head up

this is the first time i have ever had a turboed car and i have wanted a gsx for a long time and i have a 97 gsx with boost creep...thats what the guy said i bought it from...when im driving the car hard it will go to 10psi and then quickly go up and im worried its going to hurt the car.i have a fmic and a 16g turbo and greddy blow off valve and 3in magnaflow exhaust....i want to get the boost creep fixed before i do anything else to the car and i just dont know where to start on fixing the boost creep...i have read tons of forums on boost creep and some ppl say porting and then some ppl say get a catalac converter...and some ppl just get a external wastegate....i dunno if its any different on my car or not but i really need help fixing it so i can start doing other stuff to it an not have to worry about boost creep...
I immediately lifted and got back on it and it held firm at 13 psi.
I have had the same setup for 6 months and nothing like this before. Other than bumping my fuel pressure up, what could be causing this.
just buy a o2 dump and that will solve your problem...plus the mean sound of it
You may want to check your vacuum lines that run to and from your boost controller. One may have developed a small split or hole. Those vacuum lines are cheap and easy enough to replace.
