jeez im itching to get this all done, i cant wait to find out how much better it is than my 16g....

I hope it all comes together well, and all my parts come together just right, LOL

Well on my car, the actuator barely touches the fan housing, so I hacked a bit away but not at all at the fan.

fastest, highest mileage eclipse around! AND ITS A 7 BOLT!!!!

is your car a 1g?

I heard those have a bit less space between the fan and the turbo

I also got the SBR cast manifold which has a slightly thicker flange then stock, so that pushes it out slightly as well

Jeez, i hope it fits with the actuator

David,

This is Jesse. I placed my order for the T04B-H3 not too long ago today. I was just letting you know, that I didn't specify an actuator spring, but I would like the "High Pressure (12-30 PSI)" spring.

Thanks again,

Jesse Weimer

We always send the HP by default since its very uncommon for a customer to want to run less than 12 psi. So you're all set.

Attention current 16g owners!!!!!!!

If you are still on the fence and you missed The Speed Factor promotion, maybe this will help. We are now offering trade in's towards any of our T04B, T04E or Holset turbochargers. Trade in your "working" 16g, Big 16g or EVOIII 16g and receive the following discount off the purchase of any of our complete turbos.

Small 16g - $150 off
Big 16g - $175 off
EVOIII 16g - $200 off

Your trade in must be a "working" turbo, spins freely with no blade damage. Cracked turbine housings are acceptable, we know they crack. Please contact me directly to take advantage of this special.

well, SB said their cast manifold has a flange about 1/4" thicker then the stock ones, so my turbo will sit 1/4" closer to the fans

Even though i have a 2g, supposedly more room, do you guys think i will have any interference problems?

I dont mind trimming the fan shroud, but i really hope it doesnt get into my fans, cause i dont want to trim fans, LOL, that just doesnt sound right to me

Crossing my fingers, i hope this smaller t04b housing fits like i need it to

Aside from the J pipe/silicon elbow to attatch the turbo to the intercooler piping, what else would be recommended when doing a turbo swap? I'm wondering weather or not It's worth it to buy the turbo to manifold gasket as well as the turbo to o2 housing, could you guys give me some input?

Here's a kit that includes the lines and gaskets, it'll save you a few bucks. Click Here

I would recommend purchasing the turbo to o2 housing gasket off of bullseye-power also. It is made directly for their turbine housing. I used my stock o2 housing /gasket for a little while when i was waiting for my 2 1/2 " o2 housing and when i went to replace the gasket/o2 housing, There was such a huge mark you can see it, it was nuts how restrictive it was.

The turbo to o2 housing gasket that bullseye-power sells fits exactly to the shape of their turbine housing, And it is a very nice gasket.. Well worth it.

No need for the kit, as I purchased your promotional item which included all the lines neccessary.

Ahhh!!!!! One of the lucky ones.

:thumb: You aren't kidding!!! I also am one of the five who got in on Martin's Bullseye promo deal for $750. Amazing deal!!!

well everything is scheduled to be here tuesday, and it will all be installed tuesday so first impressions - tuesday

Now, looking at that dyno of that guy who made 400whp+ on the t04b, i dont think most of us will see that, realistically, so im not going to consider that as my goal(most 50trim guys have to push 25+ psi to get 380-400whp

So i hope people dont get dissapointed if they dont see 400whp at 20psi or something

I am shooting for 350whp on race gas, realistically

Most 50trim guys make about that much at 20-22psi.

I am shooting for 300whp on pump, 350whp on race gas, not exceeding 22psi or so, since im on a stock headgasket

But if for some reason it does more then i am shooting for, i will be simply amazed, because at this price, 350whp is already a HUGE DEAL :thumb:

You will be hitting more than 300 on pump am sure. As for race gas i wouldn't go past 450whp as thats the limits of a stock 7bolt. I will be shooting for 350-380 on pump and 400+ on race gas. The only thing that sucks is that i will need 650's if i want more than 400. Since on tha dyno sheet that your talking about he was on 550's. It would be nice to see what kind of gas he was on

I think I mentioned it in an earlier post. It was on a mix of 93 and C16 and the 550's were from Fuel Injector Clinic (Ball and Spring). He also had an AFPR set at a base of 50 psi. I'm sure if he could have logged the duty cycle it would be at 100%. I'd like to see someone with 650's and all the other supporting mods run 26+ psi on the dyno, might win ya $100 http://www.turbochallenge.com/

Those of you that took advantage of The Speed Factor promotion, I have your tracking numbers. Please contact me directly if you'd like to have yours. Thanks again

wow, 550s? thats impressive

Im going to be doing in on 750's FIC's because i have a dsmlink

Just for a dyno reading, i might push it to like 24-25psi, but no more, on strictly race gas, just for a dyno, i simply cant afford to have my engine go out with that more then for just show

BUt for weekends and the strip, i'll run it at 22psi(i think thats close to the efficiency range anyways, i got this turbo because you can make big power without having to run 30psi like on the t04e's)

On pump, i will keep it at around 19psi or so

I would LOVEEEEEee to see a 400whp+ reading, that wouuld be amazing :D

19psi?
Are you running a stock 7bolt? What about head studs? ARPs?

nope, stock EVERYTHING, stock block, stock head, stock bolts, stock intake manifold, stock cams

This is why i dont want to push it too much, i know the stock headgasket is good to about 22-23psi

On the street i should be able to tune it to run about 18-19psi(I am on 91 octane as well)

But hey, we'll see what the dsmlink lets me do and how far i can go till i see knock

BTW, just wanted to mention that the customer service at both these shops, Bullseye and TheSpeedFactor blew me away

Compared to ALOT of other shops, they are just amazing, never stoped answering questions, always updated me, worked out a shipping method with me that worked with my schedule, and just overall impressed me alot and i am hard to impress as i have dealt with some bad service before from many different companies

I have to agree with this.
I had a problem with my new turbo, and I sent it back to David.
While I wish that my turbo had been tip top from the beginning, I have to say that David's customer service is top notch. He answers calls AND emails, which is something that can't be said about a lot of DSM vendors and dealers--not implying anyone specifically.

Hey Dave don't worry i'll take that challenge to win that $100 LOL. Just have to get off my ass and order those 650's. I don't mind blowing up the block but am sure i could take 450 easily on the dyno. On the street i wouldn't dare run that much until my built block gets underway LOL :D And yes Dave has been the best customer service guy ever. We have been talking on email for a while now and he always answer very quickly. I'll be heading to his house on monday for a quick visit :D
