I got my to4b mounted on my 2g manifold until the SBR manifold comes in. Everything is fitting up perfectly, I am even re-using the lower water pipe on the CHRA. I'll do a install article on it when all the parts come in.
Just gotta chime in that the Bullseye turbo is THE way to go! Great product, delivery, and customer service.
Thanks, Dave!

hey questhe:

how is the clearence from the wastegate actuator to the fan housing?

The sbr pushes it out about 1/4", i hope it clears

1029tsg,i got a question for you,im gonna purchase the t04e 60trim,what size injectors should be good

650's should do the trick. If you have a built bottom end, ported head, cams, FMIC and all the goodies to support 500+ at the wheels then 750's might be a better choice.

I'll agree with Dave on the 750's. anything over 18psi on that turbo would work best with 750's. Even if the 650's were able to work it's always better to have more available than not or just enough. ;)

thanks for the answers, one last question, can you use the dnp exhaust manifold on the t04e,with no mods

You can use any stock or aftermarket header/cast manifold as long as it uses the Mitsubishi TD05 flange. All of our Garrett turbos are also available in either a Garrett T-3 (rectangular) or T-4 (square) inlet for any aftermarket Garrett manifold or header. Notice the Garrett inlet turbine housing on this T04B while still utilizing the Mistubishi downpipe flange and 38mm internal gate.

if you have a good way of controlling your injectors, i would go with 750s

for example, i have a dsmlink and i can control really any injector i want without sideeffects so i went with the bigger injectors, 750

but if youre on an afc, its tough, 650s are easier to contorl, 750's will be a bit tougher

but i suggest AT LEAST 650's and at least a 190 pump

I am running a 190 rewired pump and 750 FIC's with a dsmlink :D :thumb:

I'm glad I started this thread, I just never knew it would get this big. :)

Which Bullseye turbo did you choose and how is it working for you? Is there anything you would have done differently? Mark

To All,

I had a few goals in mind when I started my car search and I accidently came across this web site and most specifically this thread. Being a 40 year old mid life crisiser I was looking for a convertable that I could pack some punch into inexpensively and to make a long story short here I am the proud new owner of a 97 GS-T Spyder with 60k. I was a bit of a pain to the lady I bought the car off of and insisted that she replace the 3 belts and have Mitsu bring it up to date but this car is mint and completely stock.

I have real issues fixing anything that isn't broke without some way I can convince myself that I am saving money by spending a ton so expect my order for the Bullseye product the very next time you are running a sweet promo LOL...

I won't bore anyone with my plans but I did wonder if anyone had any experience with putting a Cat deleting turbo back exhaust. I am planning on just putting the exhaust on with the turbo and not having to mess with the pipes twice. I like a throaty sounding exhaust but I dont want anything load or rediculous.

Opinions please, Thanks
Randy

Well, welcome to the board. People are probably going to jump on you for posting off topic in this thread, so don't take it too hard. There's lots of info about people running straight thru exhaust on here, you just have to search for the opinions. It doesn't bother me, but it is loud (not ear splitting like Hondas) but does tend to drone. PM me for further details.

Some background on buying a bullsee is cool. get a 3" mandrel exhust and if you find something quiet let me know as I would love a quieter ride! Mark

I put a Thermal research and development exhaust on my 97 GSX. Very attractive, They were one of the first to have an angled muffler and 5 inch tips. It does drone but overall you will be happy with it. Road Race Engineering sells down pipes that delete your cat. I also went with that option. You will notice some gains for that as well.

Regards,
Emmanuel

I had a 3" flow thru resonator made. It was non restrictive and I could bolt it in place of the test pipe. It took all the highway drone right out of it. It was cheap and should be available at any muffler shop. Oppss, now I'm guilty of going off topic.

I went with the t04b, If you look back into the previous pages... You can see all the pictures of the install and some of my opinions.

The only thing I would have done different is buy this turbo before I bought a small then big 16g. I need to have my car tuned but right now just give the maft translator a few adjustments, The car starts to pull hard at 4,000rpms. I think it's a really good turbo, And I would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their turbo.. That doesnt want bigger then the t04b. :)

I am "new" to DSM's but not to turbo cars, and I opted for the Bullseye t04b and am very happy with my choice. You will not be dissapointed. My car runs harder than any of the 16g's I've seen around here and modified dsm's. (so far ;) )

Given that I am going to buy a the Bullseye T 10 B, my last concern with buying it all at the same time has to do with the application. In a past thread I saw a recommendation that 2.5 in exhaust was the way to go with an automatic transmission. I really want to buy a 3" but I am concerned about hesitation with the automatic. I am not at the point where I want to start looking for a stall converter.

Please advise me how the Bullseye turbo will behave on an automatic with the free-er flowing 3" vice the 2.5. First hand experience would be appreciated.

It's better to go bigger right off instead of regretting it in the long run. I have a Turbo back 2 1/2 " exhaust and I kinda wish I would have spent the couple extra bucks for a full 3".

NEED HELP!!! I'm in the middle of the install of my H3. Needless to say it's been a bi*** at the very least. First I broke off 3 of the 4 Manifold bolts and stud (my fault should have taken them off hot; it's been in the 30's). Second I purchased all the adapters and fastners. I went to Home depot for the A-80 brass union and the bolt doesnt fit. The opposite side does work with the ss line though. The threading looks to be finer on the center section. Did anyone run into this situation as well?

Yes, it just occured to me that all water-cooled bearing housings use the 1/8" NPT not the 1/4" that we sent you. I have to be sure and order some from our supplier. Be sure to use plenty of anti-seize on all bolts and studs. These are steel housings, not iron, and when using stainless steel bolts they are more likely to seize after a few heat cycles. Sorry for your troubles.
