stm tank to rail kit

Is the stm tank to rail kit worth it? My car is daily driven, 950cc injectors, gt35r, wiesco/ eagle, 272's. Also is it easy to install? Thanks.

Piece of cake. you should swap out the fuel filter too. That banjo bolt can get restrictive.

Is it necessary, no. I had a rusty tank and probably rusty lines, so I decided just to change everything. Took me about 1/2 day to change everything.

The tank to rail kit includes a fuel lab filter already with all -an fittings so the banjo bolt wont be an issue. Honestly, with that kit being as complete as it is and you get a filter, i think it is completely worth what they sell them for. Once i have the money i am ordering their tank to rail kit and their return kit with afpr as well fwiw.

then pieced the filter to tank from jegs using earl fittings.

It ran about $220(same as stm kit) and i feel like i got more for that 200 then the kit offered. Plus i like the look of the earl fittings and ss lines over the black on the stm kit.

The stm kit is nice , just measure the lines , cut em, put the fittings on , bolt the line underneath , done !I love mine, and the pretty purple fuellab filter helps out

I just installed this kit 2 days ago. I had pinched my stock fuel line while trying to get my stock fuel filter off. It looks good. I wish the kit had come with 2 90* bends instead of 2 straight fittings. The straight fittings are kind of tight for mounting the filter in the stock location. I plan on buying two 90 fittings in future to fix it.

Put mine on last summer when I canged my fuel pump .Took no time at all. For the 1g you can just ask for the 2 90* fitting in stead of the stright ones. looks good and If you are running e-85 like alot of us in Rochester its a good thing to have.

I've got the STM kit with the black braided line. I understand everything about the install except for connecting to the stock fuel pump assembly; how is this done?

All was well until you used a worm clamp on a fuel line. Never do that. Get the special clamps for fuel lines that don't chew the rubber as you tighten.

This is what you require. You should use a flared female end like this $$$ one, or have a slow intermittent leak using a non-flared earls fitting. Ask me how I know.

This fitting is for the hardline from the sending unit, or the hardline fron the bottom of the oem fuel filter (replace with your own filter).

for the top of the fuel filter... I think a banjo bolt will suffice, or an adapter. 6AN Adapter for OEM Fuel Filter : JNZ Tuning

Also I am surprised no ones notices the fuel permeating their nylon lines... Smell the hose, it smells like it is leaking, but it is not.

However its's cheaper then having an AN fitting welded to my sending unit.

You can hose clamp fuel line and do it nice, my car has a couple lines that are just clamped, you gotta wrap the end of the hose a couple layers of electrical tape so the clamps bite into vinyl tape instead, i also douple clamp it and have the head of the hose clamps stagard so theyre not right next to each other, this insures that you get the both bands directly onto the hose barb

I dont see the point of the kit if it attaches to the stock line as that will be the restriction point. It would make alot more sense if the lines started at the sending unit for max flow... not knocking the STM kit in any way though, I plan on getting one myself

And a picture showing the whole straight vs 90 degree fittings on the filter. So I know which route to go with.
