Well, this car living under my ownership was short lived. I am selling the car to a long-time friend. He hasn't owned a DSM since 2003, and he just wants this bone stock spyder to cruise around in the sun. He's a bodyman, so I am guessing he will deal with some of the stuff that I didnt want to - like the tower rust that is reaching a turning point. That ultimately means selling this car to him is - saving it.
I was nearly ready to part it out. I actually already sold the ECMlink kit and ECU, and had to swap to a stock ecu. if you remember the tune was 100% stock anyway, so nothing really lost except the ability to pass emission in WI. He is from a non-emission area, so its his problem now.
While I am bummed about the good parts I am giving up, I am pretty happy that the car will go to someone who can milk out a bit more enthusiasm and enjoyment before it gets final disassembly and hits the crusher. I dont have the time to do so with all the other cars. its better this way
