i have the factory smic and i keep getting the boost leak issue from the top of the intercooler, i tried taking it to tune today but keeped blowing the pipe from the rubber hose, put it back on 7 times in just a mile. over all distance and blew off again as soon as i pulled in my drive... how is a easyer way to get it to stick on there? anyone with some pics of how they did theres?

any help is apricated

thanks
dustin.

what about some super glue? i will try the hair spray stuff to... and i also found out im to low to fit on the 3inch bar that the tow company was going to use I THINK IT WAS A LIFT TRUCK... fml

oh i plan on that just gotta build up the money and decide with fmic i want.... and thanks on the hair spray idea guys.. if any goes into the ic will that hurt anything?

Clean all the oil and grime off the pipe and the IC outlet really well. Try using a simple T-bolt clamp for better clamping power. I never had to use hairspray for IC connections. You could also scuff up the outlet a little to help also.

thanks guys i sprayed it but didnt over do it.. i learned from overspraying blew a carb right off my dads truck LOL... rookie mistake. thanks a bunch guys ill keep you posted. cheap but good fmic and piping what would you guys recommend? >i know i seen the thread about it but those were up there in price just looking for a right now one.

Thank you TC I will probley go with that seems like a good deal and a good product, and I need to build a boost leak tester because I'm not hitting my 22lbs of boost I'm at like 12-17lbs right now and dealing with a alternator not charging so I'm able to drive until I lose all electronics. Is there any effects this can have on the car???

Thanks
Dustin

If you don't have a bolt thru the tab on the upper intercooler pipe than it will blow it off instantly every time you go into boost. IF you have it bolted down than it won't happen.

That ended up being the problem Bryan, I didn't have the bolt for it so I was like oh well, found out I couldn't do that.

Update: thanks for the tips guys
Got it all fixed drove it Saturday and noticed it was getting hot and my lights were dimming well Sunday I Poped the hood to put a new hose from Turbo to oil pan and looked over It threw the belt off. Smh. And I'm having a boost leak still only running 14-17 pounds of boost vs the 22 I was, and I'm having a hard time on my phone locating the boost leak tester thread if any of you guys are on and can't locate it easy I would apricate it.

Thanks
Dustin.
