400HP Build
Hello my fellow dsmers i just recently picked up a all stock, all original, never modified and i get to start building the car my way and not finishing someone else project. I pick it up for 1500 and i know most of you are asking how did you get a all stock awd for that much. Well the car was not running and won't crank so it was a gamble just to find out what was exactly wrong with it. So I brought it back to the house and started to search for the problem and eventually found it. The fuel pump gave out so I just changed it out and drop a walbro 255 fuel pump in there because i had it laying around. Then i got in the car put in the key and turn the key and amazingly the car turned on and the engine was running. So of course most of you dsmers when you get your car to start after building it or fixing some problems like to yell its alive and so i did too i yelled so loud that my neighbors heard me ITS ALIVE!!!. Now at that moment is where my build starts.

So when my car finally started running i wanted to drive around but thats when we encountered the next problem. I would push in the clutch and try to shift in to first gear and it wouldn't go in to gear and any other gear it would grind. So i checked the shifter base and shifter cables and they were fine so the problem was the clutch or transmission. Thats when i jacked up the car and put it on jack stands and started to drop the transmission and thats when i found a big hole in the transmission.

Now I was on the hunt for a 95 awd transmission and sadly i couldn't find one so the next thing was to find a 97-99 matching trans and t case. Eventually i found a 97 trans and t case in good working condition. So then i gave them a quick wash in degreaser and cleaned them up for a fresh paint of black gloss paint.

The next thing on my list was the clutch so that it can hold down the power with out slipping the clutch. And i decided to run a Stage 3 Competition Clutch With Ceramic Clutch disc and to resurface the flywheel and change the clutch fork, pivot ball, throw out bearing and slave cylinder and rod.

Since i removed most of the part in my engine out of the way i decided to buy a few parts like prothane motor mounts, fuel lab fuel filter and black braided fuel line, prothane shifter base bushing, exhaust gaskets, Aem wideband, and soild shifter cable bushing. And as you can see i like the color RED.

Sweet find. What did you use for the fuel filter adapter from the line in side?

So I saw that my brakes need some attention and i changed the rotors and brakes and painted the calipers red.

i got the fuel filter and braided fuel lines and fittings as one whole kit from extrempsi it connects from oem fuel line with a adapter fitting that goes to the bottem of the fuel filter and from the the top of the filter theres a fitting with a braided line that goes to the fuel rail with a -6 An fitting on the rail

A few days later i installed most of the parts and put the transmission back up so i started the car again and tryed to put it in gear and it went in to every gear so i drove it round the block and everything was good and that when i started the tune up. So i know most dsmers use different fluids in there car and this is what i use. Valvoline 10w40 Motor oil ,Redline MT 90 for the transmission and Redline heavy shock proof for the transfer case and rear end.

next i changed the spark plugs to ngk BPR7ES and wires and added fresh coolant and the car ran alot better next was to change all the radiator hoses and coolant lines then change all the belts and pulleys

Since my car was running good I just wanted it to run perfect so I got Ecmlink for the car and started to tune and make sure everything was running correctly just so you know i am still learning so the tune wasn't perfect

I like to keep a clean engine bay the outside of my car can look like crap but the engine had to be beautiful so i changed most of the bolts in my engine bay with these billet red washers and black screws
