The eraser wheel is nice for the adhesive under the foam for sure! I had to scrape it with a razor blade to cut the foam off then use the wheel. The foam was so dry the wheel just burned it.

Same here. I got some plastic razor blades on Amazon to get through the bulk with solvent then the eraser wheel.

@DreamChaser7 i thought about using chemicals, but since i stripped the tape after fresh paint i decided to just use elbow grease and a metal razor blade. That 3m tape that you linked is exactly the right stuff to use. You will need both 7/16 and 1/2” for me (1ga) i needed a whole 7/16 roll for the bottom trim on one door, and the door wing piece. The middle molding on the door uses the 1/2” tape, and i plan to need a whole roll just for both of them on each door. The price of foam adhesive on a 1g is pretty crazy actually. Also make sure you clean both surfaces with 91% isopropyl alcohol before applying the foam tape.

This weekend was quite productive. Got the doors aligned the best i could, put the fenders, light lenses, and door trim on. My friend had his truck at work Saturday afternoon so we took the time to move the engine from my work to my garage. I mocked up the JMF intake with the JMF coil bracket. Since i plan to keep A/C i had to move the coil bracket to the middle of the block instead of where the A/C compressor is. Also picked up an almost new ETS street intercooler. One last order from STM, and the motor and trans will be going in.

figured out the JMF coil bracket by flipping the coils onto the bottom. Also mounted the front mount, fog lights, and test fit the bumper. Still needs more work to get the AC lines to fit with the IC piping, but i think i should be able to make it work.

Got all of the timing parts today. Primed the oil pump, and set the timing

Swapped the original booster and master cylinder for 3g units. Now all that is needed to put the engine in is a 6 bolt lower timing cover…fingers crossed.

Finally found a 6 bolt timing cover (unfortunately the seal is missing.)
Got the engine and trans in.

Got the rear interior all put together, and the front seats in. (I know they are non turbo seats, but I’m on the hunt for front leathers… only color iv found is tan )

Understand the frustration because Im in the reverse situation with leather front seats and cloth rears. Been debating on just going to an interior shop and having them wrap in something close. I keep coming across Spyder rear seats, which arent going to work.

Front leather seats would be the last rare thing on my list… already have a lot of hard to find stuff. But to me that’s half the fun. Finally finding something you’ve been waiting/looking for.

I did the same on my 1g many years back. I also like the more textured/rough matte black, but that was a popular Honda trend at the time (might still be, I don't know) so I went with gloss black.

Fuel pressure regulator mounted, and got my JMF 925 batter relocation kit, and snagged some 1g 3kgt calipers

I know it's cost prohibitive, but it would be so cool to see someone reupholster some 1g seats with some perforate Alcantara center sections and headrest with leather bolsters. Would look so cool. They're not bad looking OEM seats.

I might just look into having someone do that. Love my factory seats but don’t love the rainbow centers
