Tony, feel like sharing some links on where you learned about RFIDs? I've love to learn something else as I'm a bit of an electronics nut.
I'd love to do this to my car but with an OEM button like the Lexus.

I'd like to replicate the Advanced Keys set up, Welcome to Advanced Keys. Basically you get close the doors unlock, get in and press the button (similar to yours but 1 button, press it 3 times to start or press and hold to start). Press it again to turn the car off and when you walk away it locks.

That, Doesn't looks to expensive.

I might go with one of them.

Imagine, not to worry about the KEY, Just, get in turn it ON, OFF, and walk away. SSSssssssss

I have been considering doing this since RFID became cheap and affordable.

But I never will because it is extremely easy to steal and replicate RFID signals.

[Resolved]Disconnect yellow and black wire from the connector (which for me was below my battery. spliced wire, ran that and a fuse to the switch in the car, from switch to battery 15 min, key in. Thanks.:hellyeah::thumb:

There is a small signal wire on the back of the starter. If that one wire isn't on it's prong then the starter will give the symptom you're seeing now.

It happened to me. Talked to a buddy, found the wire, put wire on, and away I went.

I was thinking of doing this. Did you take the key start completely out? Please son, don't drive without taking the steering lock out of the picture. One day you'll forget to put the key in.

Good old hoodbridge, I wouldn't have a push start there LOL, jk, I was at quantico for a while, I need the key as usual, the only dif is that instead of cranking all the way I just turn the car "on" and push the button. That way I will always have to use a key to make my car move. If anyone has any questions, I don't mind posting a vid.:hellyeah::rocks:

Yea it's pretty easy I just threw a male connector on a piece of wire hooked it to the starter ran it to a button inside the car, and ran the other side of the button to the battey with a online fuse. Works great and you still have to have the key so that's nice. But never thought of the horn that is nice. Glad you got it working.

Vash at the top of the page is the thread tools bar, mark this issue resolved there.

Also if you removed all key use, you'd need numerous buttons for the other stages.

You did it the right way the first time.

Thanks again, you really helped out. Now when I say push start... I mean a button, not a literal term.
