OK, I'm 98% finished on my Ignited Engine-Start button install, with relay and all.
Going real well and really fast - and then I ran into the mother of all problems.
I guess I watch too much TV....there's always just a bunch of loose wires under the dash that you can pull and hotwire cars with on various shows.
When I opened the steering column on my 1g NT (Eclipse, GS DOHC, 1992), all I saw was a bunch of really well wrapped "conduits," and no readily visible nor identifiable START wire.
So, here's the question for anyone who can aid me.
I've found the individual leads for the lighted bezel around the lock cylinder. By following that toward the cylinder, it's relatively easy to figure out which bundled conduit must contain the proper START wire.
I'm assuming that once I cut open the rubber conduit, I should be able to easily find the wires leading to the mechanism........
But how do I identify which one is the actual START wire that I should be tapping into?
Thanks!

PS: Newbie apologies if this has already been covered in a previous post....I've searched extensively to no avail.

I actually tapped all THREE wires (black w/ white stripe, black w/ yellow stripe, black w/ red stripe) in sequence. Nada.
Especially as my circuit tester needs a new set of batteries (wife musta left it on when she was looking for an extension cord or something...drained.....).
