This is pretty awesome. As for using RFID to start it, I don't think I would be able to deal with that. I'd rather try to emulate something like the Prii have where the key just has to be in close proximity of the car.

very nice, i was debating on doing the push button start that comes on s2000 as there is a kit out for it . i like yours alot better, a little more intricate but very unique . do yourself a favor, create a write up , and become a freelancer. put instruction booklet together with switchs, fuses, relays , all components neccessary etc. and you have yourself a nice little kit you can sell and make a buck on; very nice job

Doing great, Tony. Thanks for asking :)

Been thinking about building a similar system, only using reed switches and magnets instead of RFID.
Basically i'd wear a special watch that will have magnets hidden in the wrist band. To start the car i would put my hand in the right spot on the center console and the magnets will close correct reed switches that will power up all electronics and start the car. To stop the engine there will be a push button (possibly a start/stop button just for the engine). Electronics (like stereo and GPS) will be turned off when driver's door is opened.

Definitely do a write up if you follow through!

I love my push start and manually switching all the required hardware. Between that and the way the smart gauges boot up, feels like starting a plane.. or a moon mission LOL It still incorporates a turbo timer as well.

i took a momentary push button switch from radio shack and used it to bridge the starter relay wire in the ignition harness with the ignition wire. when the key is at on, you push the botton and start. cost me 3 bucks

I did a similar thing, but pretty much hot wired my car LOL. I need to replace my relay though, I hate the extra wires.

I just installed a really tricky push button in mine ^.^ I wired my cigarette liter in as the key, with a toggle on my lower dash. Had to drill out my ignition cylinder because I lost my key, so I figured might as well make it special ^.^

I put push-button start in my RSX. It seemed unique back then.

Someone needs to put keyless-go in a dsm HAHAHA
